Waikiki Yokocho LLC is run by Hawaiian real-estate developer Real Select International LLC based in Honolulu. While a 10% to 15% increase in the number of visitors is expected in the next business year, focus will be placed on efforts to raise its profile further and increase the number of visitors. Furthermore, promotional efforts will be intensified to make “Waikiki Yokocho” a must-visit facility for tourists to Hawaii from around the world so that visitors can enjoy an authentic “Japanese food culture” experience.

Reference

In the heart of Waikiki where “Waikiki Yokocho” is located, eating and drinking facilities of diverse genres have opened since a year ago, forming a more attractive commercial area. Eating and drinking facilities are attracting many tourists by competing over distinctiveness and offering high-quality meals and services.

Above all, “Waikiki Yokocho” has been winning support not only from tourists but also from ever-increasing local fans for Japanese cuisine as the only facility specializing in Japanese cuisine in the area.

“Waikiki Yokocho” will focus on promotional activities aimed at boosting its profile and increasing the number of users in the local market. As part of such activities, local TV station “SPECTRUM OC16” broadcast a documentary program titled “Ramen” from November 12, receiving a lot of positive feedback. As a result, Hawaiian Airlines decided to run the program on its domestic and international flights from December 2017 to February 2018.

“Waikiki Yokocho” will continue to grow as an eating and drinking destination loved by more and more customers not only by introducing Japan’s food culture but also by planning events such as the “Tanabata” star festival, other summer festivals and moon viewing through which one can feel Japan’s four seasons, as well as hands-on events that visitors can enjoy such as a Halloween costume contest and an eating championship.
