このイベントが開催される開催都市全体で参加登録した8万人を超えるランナーとウォーカーのおかげで、この日の世界レースは支援を最も必要とする人々への一助となる。

＊2年連続して、参加者が走破した1キロごとに、パン一斤がそれぞれの開催都市にあるフードバンクに寄付され、今年は総計100万斤になった。

＊メキシコで最近発生した地震で被害を受けた人々との団結を表すため、メキシコで26日行われるレース走行に登録した総人数と同じ量が被害者をサポートするために寄付される。

In a spirit of solidarity and support for Mexico, today the Bimbo Global Energy

Race will take place in 21 countries around the world.

Thanks to the more than 80,000 runners and walkers who signed up in all the

host cities where the event is taking place, today's global race will translate

into help for those who need it most:

    -- For the second year in a row, for each kilometer run by participants,

       loaves of bread will be donated to food banks in each host city, a  

       figure that this year came to more than 1 million loaves.

    -- In solidarity with those affected by the recent earthquakes in Mexico,

       an amount equal to the total number of people registered in the races

       run today in Mexico will be donated to support the victims.
