Cambium Networksは21日、高い評価を受けている同社のアクセスポイントcnPilot（TM）屋外ファミリーの新製品となるcnPilot e502S Outdoor - 802.11ac Outdoor Access Point（AP）を発表した（http://www.cambiumnetworks.com/products/wifi/cnpilot-outdoor/ ）。屋外接続アプリケーション固有のカバレッジおよび密度の要件を満たすe502Sは2.4 GHzおよび5 GHzバンドで動作し、30度の角度があるカバレッジビームによって、狭域での最適なカバレッジと雑音遮断を提供する。内蔵のハイゲイン・アンテナは、遠く離れた場所にあるステーションへの接続を提供するだけでなく、雑音が多い環境でも性能を向上させる。ナローカバレッジおよびハイゲインの内蔵アンテナを収容する小さなフットプリントによって、特に街路にある照明および標識のポールへの設置に適している。e502Sモジュールは多数を同一地点にクラスター設置し、ユーザーが密集するスポーツスタジアム、コンサート会場、特別イベント、その他の公共の場など、密集地点の需要を満たすことができる。e502Sは、e501Sが提供する120度と、無指向性e500の360度のカバレッジを補完するので、これによって屋外Wi-Fiカバレッジ・ソリューションがすべてそろうことになる。

outdoor family of access points

e502S Outdoor - 802.11ac Outdoor Access Point (AP). Meeting the unique coverage

and density requirements of outdoor connectivity applications, the e502S

operates in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and provides optimal coverage in narrow

geographies and noise isolation with its 30 degree coverage beam. The

integrated high gain antenna not only provides connectivity to stations located

at longer distances but also improves performance in noisy environments. The

small footprint with integrated antenna along with narrow coverage and high

gain makes it especially suitable to be deployed on street poles in place for

lights and signs. e502S modules can also be co-located in clusters of sectors

to satisfy the demand of dense crowds such as at sports stadiums, concert

venues, special events, and other public areas with high user density. The

e502S complements the 120 degree coverage provided by the e501S and the 360

degree omnidirectional e500, providing a complete set of outdoor Wi-Fi coverage

The e500 series of outdoor Wi-Fi APs include an auxiliary port that provides

power-over-Ethernet out and data connectivity that enables a number of

deployment options.  Network operators will frequently attach a CCTV camera to

the auxiliary port to enhance safety and security.  If the e500 is deployed in

a remote location, the network operator may use Cambium Networks point-to-point

or point-to-multipoint fixed wireless networking solutions to provide

integrated backhaul using the auxiliary port.

cnMaestro(TM) management system
