カリフォルニア州、サンノゼ –HDMI Forum, Inc.Forum, Inc. (http://www.hdmiforum.org/ )は、本日、HDMI2.0採用するあらゆる企業に向けてHDMI(R)仕様のバージョン2.1のリリースを発表しました。この最新のHDMI規格は、10Kまでの解像度をサポートし、より高い動画解像度とリフレッシュレート（8K60、4K120など）を実現します。本規格は、ダイナミックHDRフォーマットに対応し、最高48Gbpsの帯域幅をサポートします。

新しい超高速HDMIケーブルは、この48Gbps帯域幅まで対応し、HDRの非圧縮8K動画を含む高帯域幅を必要とする機能の提供を保証します。周辺のワイヤレスデバイスとの干渉を軽減する、非常に低いEMI（電磁波妨害）がその特徴です。本ケーブルは後方互換性を有し、既存のHDMI機器で使用可能です。

旧バージョンとの後方互換性を有するHDMI規格のバージョン2.1は、HDMIフォーラムのテクニカルワーキンググループによって開発されました。同グループは、家庭電化製品、PC、モバイル端末、ケーブル、コンポーネントの世界有数のメーカーを代表するメンバーで構成されています。

HDMI規格2.1の機能：

        - より高い動画解像度は、没入型視聴やで素早いアクションのスムーズな表示を可能にする

        ために、より高度な解析度と、より高速なリフレッシュレート（8K60Hzと4K120Hzを含む）

        をサポートします。最高10Kの解像度は民生AV、および産業利用やプロフェッショナルに

        よる利用も対応可能です。

        - ダイナミックHDRサポートは、動画のすべての瞬間で（シーンごと、あるいはフレーム

        ごとに）深度、ディテール、明るさ、コントラスト、幅広い色域が最適に表示されること

        を確実にします。

        - 超高速HDMIケーブルは非圧縮HDMI2.1機能サポート用の48G帯域幅をサポートします。

        また、このケーブルはかなり低いEMIを特徴とし、HDMI規格の旧バージョンとの

        後方互換性を有することで、既存のHDMI機器で使用可能です。

        - eARCは接続を簡素化し、より優れた使いやすさを提供し、最も高度なオーディオ

        フォーマットや最高のオーディオ品質をサポートします。オーディオデバイスと発表予定の

        HDMI 2.1製品との完全な互換性を保証します。

        - 向上したリフレッシュレート機能はゲーミング、映画、動画視聴向けに、スムーズかつ

        のリフレッシュレート機能には、以下が含まれています：

              ・可変リフレッシュレート（VRR）は、ラグ、スタッター、フレームティアリングを

              ・映画や動画のクイックメディア切替（QMS）は、コンテンツが表示される前の

              リアリティーを実現します。.

        - 自動低レイテンシーモード（ALLM）によって、最適なレイテンシー設定が自動で

        行われることにより、スムーズでラグのない、途切れのない視聴やインタラクションが

HDMI 2.1コンプライアンステスト仕様書（CTS）は、2018年第1四半期～第3四半期にかけて段階的に提供され、HDMIアダプターはリリースに合わせて告知されます。

HDMI Forum Releases Version 2.1 Of The HDMI Specification

HDMI Forum, Inc. (http://www.hdmiforum.org/ ) today announced the release of

Version 2.1 of the HDMI(R) Specification which is now available to all HDMI 2.0

adopters. This latest HDMI Specification supports a range of higher video

resolutions and refresh rates including 8K60 and 4K120, and resolutions up to

10K. Dynamic HDR formats are also supported, and bandwidth capability is

increased up to 48Gbps.

Supporting the 48Gbps bandwidth is the new Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable. The

cable ensures high-bandwidth dependent features are delivered including

uncompressed 8K video with HDR. It features exceptionally low EMI

(electro-magnetic interference) which reduces interference with nearby wireless

devices. The cable is backwards compatible and can be used with the existing

installed base of HDMI devices.

Version 2.1 of the HDMI Specification is backward compatible with earlier

versions of the specification, and was developed by the HDMI Forum's Technical

Working Group whose members represent some of the world's leading manufacturers

of consumer electronics, personal computers, mobile devices, cables and

components.

HDMI Specification 2.1 Features Include:

    -- Higher video resolutions support a range of high resolutions and

       faster refresh rates including 8K60Hz and 4K120Hz for immersive

       viewing and smooth fast-action detail. Resolutions up to 10K are also

       supported for commercial AV, and industrial and specialty usages.

    -- Dynamic HDR support ensures every moment of a video is displayed at

       its ideal values for depth, detail, brightness, contrast and wider

       color gamuts - on a scene-by-scene or even a frame-by-frame basis.

    -- The Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable supports the 48G bandwidth for

       uncompressed HDMI 2.1 feature support. The cable also features very

       low EMI emission and is backwards compatible with earlier versions of

       the HDMI Specification and can be used with existing HDMI devices.

    -- eARC simplifies connectivity, provides greater ease of use, and

       supports the most advanced audio formats and highest audio quality. It

       ensures full compatibility between audio devices and upcoming HDMI 2.1

       products.

    -- Enhanced refresh rate features ensure an added level of smooth and

       seamless motion and transitions for gaming, movies and video. They

       include:

       -- Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) reduces or eliminates lag, stutter and

          frame tearing for more fluid and better detailed gameplay.

       -- Quick Media Switching (QMS) for movies and video eliminates the

          delay that can result in blank screens before content is displayed.

       -- Quick Frame Transport (QFT) reduces latency for smoother no-lag

          gaming, and real-time interactive virtual reality.

    -- Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) allows the ideal latency setting to

       automatically be set allowing for smooth, lag-free and uninterrupted

       viewing and interactivity.

The HDMI 2.1 Compliance Test Specification (CTS) will be published in stages

during Q1-Q3 2018, and HDMI adopters will be notified when it is available.
