欧州臨床腫瘍学会がWHOのがん対策決議を歓迎

【ルガノ（スイス）2017年6月2日PR Newswire=共同通信JBN】腫瘍内科の代表的な専門組織である欧州臨床腫瘍学会（European Society for Medical Oncology、ESMO）は、スイスのジュネーブで5月22-31日に開かれた第70回世界保健総会（WHA）で、統合的アプローチ（http://apps.who.int/gb/ebwha/pdf_files/WHA70/A70_ACONF9-en.pdf ）との関連でがん防止と管理に関する決議が採択されたことを歓迎した。

2017年WHOがん決議（2017 WHO Cancer Resolution）は、国家的ながん対策計画、質の高いがん登録、がん研究増大、臨床実践ガイドライン、時宜に適した薬剤投与、医療機器、苦痛緩和治療とともに十分訓練されたがん治療要員を提唱している。チャルディエーロ会長は「ESMOはこれらすべての分野で活動的であり、質の高い情報、リソース、がん専門家への最高の教育を提供することにコミットしている」と語った。

70th World Health Assembly (WHA), 22-31 May, Geneva, Switzerland.

    The 2017 WHO Cancer Resolution calls for national cancer control plans,
