【シャフハウゼン（スイス）2017年4月5日PR Newswire＝共同通信JBN】器質的心疾患を治療するインプラントの有力イノベーターであるOcclutechは5日、膜様部周囲心室中隔欠損（PmVSD）OccluderがCEマーク認可を取得したと発表した。この機器は膜様部周囲心室中隔欠損の低侵襲性閉鎖の目的で処方され、特に考案されたインプラントである。

Occlutech Obtains European CE Mark for its Novel PmVSD Occluder

    Occlutech, a leading innovator of implants to treat structural heart

disease, today announced that it has obtained European CE Mark approval for its

Perimembranous Ventricular Septal Defect (PmVSD) Occluder. The device is a

specifically designed implant indicated for the minimally invasive closure of

perimembranous ventricular septal defects.

    Perimembranous VSDs represent 70 - 80 % of all VSDs. Ventricular Septal

Defects are the most common congenital cardiac abnormalities and they account

for 30-60% of all congenital heart defects in newborns (about 2-6 VSDs per

1,000 births).

    Occlutech's PmVSD Occluder consists of a flexible nitinol wire mesh with

"shape-memory" properties and has been specifically designed for the closure of
