ウィスマン会長：IAAは輸送、物流の未来に大きく窓を開く

ドイツ自動車工業会（VDA）のマティアス・ウィスマン会長はハノーバーのIAAメディアナイトで「IAA国際商用車ショー（the 66th IAA Commercial Vehicles）は輸送、物流、モビリティーの未来に大きく窓を開く。それはわれわれがアイデアに動かされていることを示す。未来の商用車はデジタルでつながる。それは安全性、効率性、快適性を高める。商用車の優位は都市部でより大きくなる。都市部の物流はさらに無公害になる。街中を走行するバンやバスが電気・ハイブリッドエンジンを使用するからである。商品を戸口まで配達させる“オンライン社会”では、これまで以上に商用車を必要とする。この市場は世界で拡張し続ける」と強調した。会長は国際的な商用車業界とメディアの代表600人以上を前に語った。

第66回IAA国際商用車ショーには57カ国、2000人以上のジャーナリストが取材登録した。プレスデーの9月21日、ホールとコンベンションセンターでは70件もの記者会見が開かれ、プレス＆オープニングデーの22日にはさらに30件が予定されている。第66回IAA国際商用車ショーは332の世界プレミアと101の欧州プレミアが行われる。世界で最も重要な輸送、物流、モビリティーの見本市は9月22日から29日まで一般公開される。

全体として52カ国の2013社が最新の製品をハノーバーに出展している。このうち外国の出展社は61%を占める。国別出展社数の上位5カ国は中国（229社）、イタリア（145社）、オランダ（121社）、トルコ（92社）、フランス（85社）。出展社の3分の1は欧州（ドイツを除く）、5分の1はアジアである。

IAAでは商用車の国際的なバリュークリエーションチェーンのすべてが展示される。大型トラック、バンとバス、トレーラーとボディーの製造企業、さらに多くの部品供給企業、テレマティクスなどのサービス提供企業である。

デジタル化、電気モビリティー、都市物流などの革新的テーマを際立たせるため、IAA国際商用車ショーでは初めて「New Mobility World logistics（新しいモビリティー世界物流）」として強調された。この新イニシアチブは、未来のデザイン、新物流コンセプト、出展社の製品・サービスを重視し、新しい企業・ビジターグループの関心に応えることを目指している。New Mobility World logisticsは未来の物流・輸送テーマの乗数でもある。

屋外サイトの「New Mobility World LIVE（新モビリティー世界ライブ）」はダイナミックでインタラクティブな運転デモンストレーションで多くの実演を提供する。また、出展社は限定ガイドツアーで、トレードビジターにイノベーションを披露する。さらに、展示グラウンドの試運転用に電気自動車約20台、公道の試運転用に軽・大型商用車40台以上を用意する。

ウィスマン会長は「パワートレインについて、われわれは将来に多彩な経験をする。長距離輸送の場合、大型トラックでは、ディーゼルが大きな役割を演じ続ける。最新の排気後処理テクノロジーは、ディーゼルを高効率で経済的というだけでなく、クリーンにしている。現在、Euro VI（欧州の次期重量車排ガス規制）のトラックやバスは汚染排ガスを極めて低く抑えており、排ガス削減は商用車では既に成功している。しかし、都市物流のトレンドが代替パワートレインに向かっていることははっきりしている。ハイブリッド・電気車両はますます重要になっている。バンやバスでも同じことで、地域配達では近く大型トラックにも適用されるだろう」と強調した。

メディアナイトでは、2004年以来7度目になる商用車業界で最も有名な3つの国際賞が贈呈された。「Truck of the Year」、「Bus of the Year」、「Van of the Year」である。それぞれの審査団は欧州各国の著名な商用車のジャーナリストや編集長で構成され、彼らは製品を数多くテストした。「International Truck of the Year 2017」はScaniaのS-series、「International Bus of the Year 2017」はSolaris Urbino、「International Van of the Year 2017」はVW Crafterが受賞した。

Wissmann: The IAA Opens Wide the Window on the Future of Transport and Logistics

    "This IAA Commercial Vehicles opens wide the window on the future of

transport, logistics and mobility. It shows that we are driven by ideas. The

commercial vehicles of tomorrow will be digitally connected. That will bring

more safety, more efficiency and more comfort. The advantages of commercial

vehicles will be even greater in towns and cities. Urban logistics will become

ever-more emissions-free because many of the vans and buses operating in towns

will use electric and hybrid drive. The 'online society' that has goods

delivered to the door needs commercial vehicles more than ever. The market will

continue to grow worldwide," stressed Matthias Wissmann, President of the

German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), in Hannover at the "IAA

Media Night." He was speaking to more than 600 international representatives of

the commercial vehicle industry and the media.

    Over 2,000 journalists from 57 countries have been accredited for the 66th

IAA Commercial Vehicles. On Wednesday (Press Day) a good 70 press conferences

were held in the halls and in the Convention Center, and another 30 will follow

on September 22 (Press and Opening Day). The 66th IAA Commercial Vehicles is

presenting 332 world premieres and 101 European premieres. The world's most

important trade show for transport, logistics and mobility will be opened

officially on September 22 and will run until September 29.

    A total of 2,013 exhibitors from 52 countries are displaying their latest

developments in Hannover. Foreign exhibitors make up 61 percent. The five

best-represented countries are China (229 exhibitors), Italy (145), the

Netherlands (121), Turkey (92) and France (85). Just over one exhibitor in

three comes from Europe (not including Germany), and one in five comes from

Asia.

    The entire international value-creation chain for commercial vehicles is

represented at the IAA: manufacturers of heavy trucks, vans and buses, trailers

and bodies, plus the many supply firms and providers of services (e.g.

telematics).

    To accentuate the innovation topics of digitization, electric mobility and

urban logistics even more, for the first time at the IAA Commercial Vehicles

they are being highlighted as the "New Mobility World logistics." This new

initiative aims to put a stronger focus on the future designs, new logistics

concepts, offers and services from the exhibitors, and to engage the interest

of new companies and visitor groups. The New Mobility World logistics is also a

multiplier for future logistics and transportation topics.

    The "New Mobility World LIVE" on the open-air site offers plenty of action

in dynamic and interactive driving demonstrations. In addition, exhibitors are

presenting innovations to trade visitors during the exclusive Guided Tours.

Furthermore, about 20 electric vehicles are available for test drives on the

exhibition grounds, along with over 40 light and heavy-duty commercial vehicles

for test drives on the public roads.

    Wissmann emphasized: "When it comes to powertrains we will experience a

broad mix in the future. Diesels will continue to play a key role in

long-distance traffic - that is, among heavy trucks. The latest exhaust

after-treatment technology makes them not only efficient and economical, but

also clean. Today's Euro VI trucks and buses have only very low pollutant

emissions, whose reduction has now been successfully completed in commercial

vehicles. However, the trend in urban logistics is very clearly moving toward

the alternative powertrains. Hybrid and electric vehicles are becoming more and

more important. This is true of vans and buses - and soon it will also apply to

heavy trucks in local distribution."

    At the Media Night three of the most renowned international awards in the

commercial vehicle business were presented for the seventh time since 2004: the

"Truck of the Year", the "Bus of the Year" and the "Van of the Year." Each of

the juries is comprised of well-known commercial vehicle journalists and

editors-in-chief from across Europe, who put the products through their paces

in numerous tests. "International Truck of the Year 2017" was the Scania

"S-series". The "International Bus of the Year 2017" award went to the Solaris

Urbino. The winner of the "International Van of the Year 2017" was the VW

Crafter.
