【北京2016年6月20日PR Newswire＝共同通信JBN】世界最大の高性能太陽光発電製品メーカーの1つであるJAソーラー・ホールディングス（JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd.、Nasdaq：JASO）（以下JAソーラー）は20日、エジプトの紅海地域の電力プロジェクトに11メガワットの高効率太陽光発電（PV）モジュールを供給したと発表した。アブダビ政府が資金供給するMasdarによって開発される同プロジェクトは、北アフリカで最大のPVディーゼルのハイブリッド電力プロジェクトである。

同プロジェクトは、紅海地域の観光産業に電気を供給するために計画されている。マルサアラル、シャラテーン、アブラマド、ハラエブの4つの発電所から成り、総発電量14メガワットに上る同プロジェクトは、既存のディーゼル発電機に新しいPVモジュールを結合する。このハイブリッド設計は、ディーゼル油の購入と輸送に関するコストの大幅節減およびCO2排出量の大幅削減につながる。同プロジェクトは完成後、2万5800戸の世帯に電気を供給し、CO2排出量を年間4万2700トン削減することが期待されている。

JA Solar Provides High-efficiency Modules for the Largest PV-diesel Hybrid Power Project in North Africa

JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: JASO) (JA Solar), one of the world's

largest manufacturers of high-performance solar power products, today announced

that it had provided 11MW of high-efficiency PV modules for a power project in

the Red Sea region of Egypt. Developed by Masdar, funded by the government of

Abu Dhabi, it is the largest PV-diesel hybrid power project in North Africa.

The project is designed to provide electricity for the tourism industry in the

Red Sea region. Consisting of four power plants -- Marsa Alam, Shalateen, Abu

Ramad and Halayeb -- with a combined capacity of 14MW, the project combines

existing diesel generators with new PV modules. The hybrid design will lead to

significant savings in costs associated with the purchase and transportation of

diesel oil, and significant reductions in CO2 emissions. Upon completion, the

project is expected to provide electricity for 25,800 households and reduce CO2

emissions by 42,700 tons annually.
