ドバイに設立されたWorld Federation of Future Sportsがフューチャースポーツ部門のイノベーションと研究を推進
ドバイ首長国は13日、イノベーションと先進テクノロジーに基づくスポーツ競技を特徴とする世界初の取り組みとして、2017年12月にWorld Future Sports Gamesを主催すると発表した。World Future Sports Gamesは、ドバイ首長国がドバイに本拠を置く新しい世界団体World Federation of Future Sportsによって支援される新たなイノベーション主導の経済セクターとしてのフューチャースポーツを発表した際に、明らかにされた。

World Future Sports Gamesの第１回競技会は、ドバイで2017年12月28日から30日まで開催される。同競技会は2年に1回、3日間にわたって開かれ、世界中の個人、企業、学術機関、研究センターから参加者を受け入れる。
同ゲームは現代的テクノロジー、人口知能を用いた9つの競技、すなわち、無人運転自動車レース、ロボットサッカー、ロボットランニング競技、有人ドローンレース、ロボット競泳、ロボット卓球、ロボットレスリング、ドローンレース、サイバスロン競技を開催する。

Dubai Takes Innovation to the Sports Arena With World Future Sports Games in December 2017

Dubai today announced that it will organize World Future Sports Games in
December 2017 as the first initiative of its kind in the world featuring
innovation and futuristic technology based sports competitions. The World
Future Sports Games was unveiled as Dubai announced Future Sports as a new
innovation driven economic sector supported by a new global entity, World
Federation of Future Sports based in Dubai.

The first edition of the World Future Sports Games will be hosted in Dubai from
December 28 to 30, 2017. The Games will be held over three days once every two
years, and will be open for participation from individuals, companies, academic
institutions and research centres from around the world.
The Games will feature nine competitions that employ modern technology and
artificial intelligence: driverless car racing, robotic soccer, robotic running
competitions, manned drones racing, robotic swimming, robotic table tennis,
robotic wrestling, drones races and cybathlon competition.
"Today we start a new phase in our march to the future through the launch of
these unique initiatives that are built on the success of our global platforms,
the UAE Drones for Good Award and UAE AI & Robotics Award for Good. Dubai will
activate future sports as a catalyst to drive innovation and research and
development around the world," said His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive
Council, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Museum of the Future
Foundation.
The World Federation of Future Sports will work with specialized international
federations to create an integrated global system to support the Future Sports
Sector by organising scientific and technological competitions in different
parts of the world. It will contribute to attracting thousands of researchers
and professionals from around the world to create economic value worth billions
of dollars.
World Federation of Future Sports is an initiative of Dubai Museum of the
Future Foundation which aims to be an incubator for innovation ideas.
