Drone Racing Leagueは9日、2016年シーズンの第1回レース「Level 1 : Miami Lights

」の全容と、リーグ最初のレース優勝者がスティーブ“Zoomas”ズーマス氏だったと発表した。世界中から集まったえりすぐりの12人のドローンパイロットは、ビデオゲームを除けば最も複雑なレースコースでFPV（一人称視点）フライトの限界を超えた。Zoomasは積極的なレース展開と正確なフライトで優れた技量のパフォーマンスを示し、他のトップレーサーや有名なドローンパイロットRekrek、FlyingBear、M0Keらを破り優勝した。DRLレースの最初の優勝者のZoomasは、米カリフォルニア州ロサンゼルスのHawthorne Mallで今月開催されるDRLシーズン2回目の「Level 2：LApocalypse」に望むが、優勝者の本命となる。

Today, the Drone Racing League (DRL) released their first full race of the 2016

season, "Level 1: Miami Lights," and announced Steve "Zoomas" Zoumas was the

winner of the league's first race. On the most complex racecourse ever built

outside a video game, 12 elite drone pilots from around the globe pushed the

limits of FPV flight. "Zoomas" won with a masterful performance of aggressive

racing and precision flight, defeating top competitors and renowned drone

pilots Rekrek, FlyingBear and M0ke. As the first winner of a DRL race, Zoomas

will be the favorite heading into the second race of the DRL season, "Level 2:

LApocalypse," to be held in Los Angeles, CA at the abandoned Hawthorne Mall

later this month.
