【ニューヨーク2016年3月2日PR Newswire=共同通信JBN】Clayton, Dubilier & Rice(CD&R)は2日、W・ジェームズ・マックナーニ・ジュニア(W. James McNerney,Jr.)前ボーイング会長兼最高経営責任者(CEO)をCD&Rファンドの上級顧問に迎えたと発表した。マックナーニ氏は新しい投資機会の開拓と評価を助けるほか、CD&Rファンドのポートフォリオ企業で価値創造戦略を推進する。

マックナーニ氏は世界で最も有名なグローバル企業のトップを歴任した。2005年から2015年までボーイング会長兼CEO、2000年から2005年はスリーエム(3M)の会長兼CEOを務めた。それ以前の1982年から2000年まではゼネラル・エレクトリック(General Electric=GE)で一連の幹部職を占めた。GE Aircraft Enginesの社長兼CEO、GE Lightingの社長、GE Asia-Pacificの社長、GE Electrical Distribution and Controlの社長兼CEOなどだ。GEに入社する前はプロクター・アンド・ギャンブル(Procter & Gamble)やマッキンゼー・アンド・カンパニー(McKinsey & Company)で働いた。

マックナーニ氏はエール大学で文学士、ハーバード大学で経営学修士号(MBA)を取得した。

Jim McNerney, Retired Chairman and CEO of Boeing, Joins Clayton, Dubilier & Rice as Senior Advisor

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice today announced the appointment of W. James McNerney,

Jr., retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Boeing Company, as a

Senior Advisor to the CD&R funds to assist in identifying and evaluating new

investment opportunities, as well as driving value creation strategies at the

CD&R funds' portfolio companies.

Mr. McNerney has served in senior leadership positions at some of the world's

most recognized global companies. In addition to his role as Boeing's Chairman

and Chief Executive Officer from 2005 to 2015, he was Chairman and Chief

Executive Officer of 3M Company from 2000 to 2005. Earlier in his career, Mr.

McNerney held a range of senior executive positions at General Electric between

1982 and 2000, including: President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Aircraft

Engines; President of GE Lighting; President of GE Asia-Pacific; and President

and Chief Executive Officer of GE Electrical Distribution and Control. Before

joining GE, Mr. McNerney worked at Procter & Gamble and McKinsey & Company.

committee of Business Roundtable, an association of chief executive officers of

leading U.S. companies. He is a Member of The Field Museum Board of Trustees in

Chicago, a Trustee of Northwestern University, and the Chair of the

Northwestern Memorial HealthCare Board. He also is a Fellow of the American

Academy of Arts and Sciences and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical

Society.

Mr. McNerney earned a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard

University.
