European Business Awardsは今年で9回目を迎え、欧州33カ国から3万2000社を超える企業が参加、そのうち678社が国内代表に選ばれ、コンテストの次の段階に進む。1997年に設立され、ピサに本拠を置くAbiogen Pharmaは国際化に力を入れる製薬会社である。同社の成功は骨代謝、鎮痛と呼吸器、新陳代謝、皮膚病などの分野での原発性医薬品の研究開発および販売によるものだ。

これとは別に、国内代表の提出したビデオはEuropean Business Awardsのウェブサイト（http://www.businessawardseurope.com ）で公開され、2段階の一般投票で各国の「National Public Champions」が 選ばれる。

2014/15年のコンテストにはすべてのEU加盟国が参加、その収入合計は1.5兆ユーロを超え、利益は600億ユーロ超、従業員数は250万人を超える。

European Business Awards, a prestigious competition supported by businesses

leaders, academics, media and political representatives from across Europe.

    The European Business Awards now in its 9th year engaged with over 32,000

businesses from 33 European countries this year and 678 companies from across

Europe have been named as National Champions; going through to the second phase

of the competition. Abiogen Pharma, founded in 1997 and based in Pisa is a

pharmaceutical company with a strong focus on internationalization. Its success

is based on R&D and the distribution of primary pharmaceutical products, in

areas such as bone metabolism, pain relief and respiratory, metabolic and

dermatologic diseases.

    The next round requires the National Champions to make a presentation

judges will view all of the National Champions' videos, and award the best of

this group the coveted 'Ruban d'Honneur' status. Ruban d'Honneur recipients

will then go on to be part of the grand final in 2016.

    Separately, the National Champion videos will be made public on the

European Business Awards website http://www.businessawardseurope.com as part of

a two stage public vote, which will decide the 'National Public Champions' for

each country.

    In the 2014/15 competition, all EU member markets were represented, their

combined revenue exceeded EUR1.5 trillion, and together they generated profits

of over 60 billion Euros and employ over 2.5 million people.
