TE Connectivity Ltd.（NYSE: TE）は9日、回路保護デバイス（CPD）事業をLittelfuse, Inc.（NASDAQ: LFUS）に3億5000万ドルで売却することに合意したと発表した。売却は2016会計年度第2四半期に完了する見通しで、通常の規制認可を受けることが条件になっている。

対外的にTE通信ソリューション部門のデータ･デバイス事業の一部と報告されるTEのCPD事業は、通信、モバイルコンピューティング、工業･自動車、電池業界で大きな役割を果たしてきた。この事業は2015会計年度に約1億9000万ドルの収益を上げ、カリフォルニア州メンロパークに本部、日本の筑波および中国の上海と昆山に製造施設がある。

TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL) (TE) today announced that it has entered into

an agreement to sell its Circuit Protection Devices (CPD) business to

Littelfuse, Inc. (NASDAQ: LFUS) for $350 million. The transaction is expected

to close in the second quarter of fiscal year 2016 and is subject to customary

regulatory approvals.

TE's CPD business, which is externally reported as part of the Data and Devices

business within TE's Communications Solutions segment, has a broad presence

serving the communications, mobile computing, industrial, automotive and

battery industries. The business had revenues of approximately $190 million in

fiscal year 2015, and is headquartered in Menlo Park, California, with

manufacturing facilities in Tsukuba, Japan and Shanghai and Kunshan, China.
