Invitation to the Graduation Ceremony of the EU Executive Training Programme in Japan (ETP)
To celebrate the successful completion of ETP30, the Delegation of the European Union to Japan will host a Graduation Ceremony and Reception at the Palace Hotel Tokyo. We invite you to join the celebration and hope that you can take this opportunity to deepen your understanding of the ETP. The ceremony will be attended by the eight member delegation of the International Trade Committee of the European Parliament, led by INTA Chairman Mr. Bernd Lange, and Mr. Petr Jezek, the Chairman of the EU Delegation for Relations with Japan.
The EU Executive Training Programme in Japan (ETP) is a human resource development programme targeting EU employers and executives who are looking to enter or expand their business in Japan. Since its inception in 1979, the ETP has been instrumental in supporting EU businesses in Japan and has contributed to strengthening EU-Japan ties by nurturing leaders who have acted as a bridge between the EU and Japanese business worlds. Please visit www.waseda-etp.jp.
Waseda University has been entrusted by the European Union to implement this prestigious programme since 2006, delivering a unique mix of intensive Japanese language and business culture training developed for the specific purpose of equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively conduct business in Japan.
The 30th cycle of the ETP commenced at SOAS, University of London, in November 2014, with 22 business professionals representing various EU industries. Participants represent European Union member states of Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Spain. After completing the seven-month immersion module at Waseda University, participants applied their new skills and knowledge in a 12-week internship.
