ICOMC2は遠征使用向けに設計され、オペレーターが無人システム指揮統制のSTANAG 4586規格を通じて複数の無人車両を管理することを可能にする。そのオープン構造デザインはスケーラブルで、兵士着用デバイスほどの小型システムをはじめ、大スクリーンからの情報を統合ディスプレーに表示する作戦レベルのC2システムとのインターフェースをとるシステムで動作する。ICOMC2の構造は、プラグイン可能なツールの拡張性とカスタム化をサポートし、InsituはICOMC2 SDKを公開する予定。

Insitu Pacificのマネジングディレクターであるアンドルー・ダガン氏は「ICOMC2は実績があるシステムである。84万7000時間を越えるフライトを通じて改良が施され、現在は世界中で水陸両ミッションをサポートしている」と語った。

このシステムはビデオ・オーバーレイ機能によって状況認識を向上させており、オペレーターは1つの映像の中で、地形評価、衛星データ、目標識別、国境情報、音波探知などのデータをビデオにオーバーレイすることが可能となる。

Insitu Pacific to demonstrate ICOMC2 at Australia's Pacific International Maritime Exposition 2015

Insitu Pacific, the Australia-based subsidiary of Insitu Inc., announced today

that it will demonstrate the Insitu Common Open-mission Management Command and

Control (ICOMC2) (http://www.insitu.com/systems/icomc2 ) ground control station

at Pacific - Australia's International Maritime Exposition, 6-8 October in

Sydney.

ICOMC2 is designed for expeditionary use and empowers one operator to manage

multiple unmanned vehicles through the STANAG 4586 standard for unmanned

systems command and control. Its open-architecture design scales to operate

with systems as small as soldier-worn devices or up to interfacing with

operational level C2 systems that provide information on integrated displays

from large screens. ICOMC2's architecture was designed to support extensibility

and customization of the tool through plug-ins, and Insitu plans to make the

ICOMC2 SDK available to the public.

The system increases situational awareness with its augmented video overlay

capability, allowing operators to overlay video with data such as terrain
