国際オーガニックエキスポが韓国で開幕

【槐山（韓国）2015年9月21日PR Newswire＝共同通信JBN】持続可能な農業とエコロジカルなライフスタイルの推進を目指す国際有機食品産業エキスポが韓国の農業中心地、槐山でこのほど開幕した。

組織委員会当局者が9月18日に明らかにしたところによると、2015年槐山世界オーガニックエキスポ（2015 Goesan International Organic EXPO）は、忠清北道の山間都市、槐山で「Organic Life, Science Meets the Public（オーガニック・ライフ、サイエンスが人々と出会う）」をテーマに24日間開かれる。

世界の2大有機食品団体、国際有機農業学会（ISOFAR）と国際有機農業運動連盟（ISOAM）が同時に参加する初めてのイベント。

輸出推進イベントとしては会期中3回の見本市が予定されており、26カ国から264社が出展、約620人のバイヤーが参加する。

組織委員会はイベントが1700億ウォン（1億4600万米ドル）の経済的波及効果があると見込んでいる。

組織委員会は来場者が66万人、うち外国からは4万人が訪問することを目指している。

エキスポのイベントとして9月20日から22日まで、世界の有機食品産業の課題と将来についてのシンポジウムが開かれる。

ISOFARと忠北有機農業研究センターが主催する同イベントには18カ国から29人の専門家が参加、世界の食糧生産、農業における倫理的ジレンマ、食品の質と健康をテーマに討論する。

International Organic Food Expo Kicks Off in S. Korea

An international organic food expo has kicked off in South Korea's central

agricultural town of Goesan to promote sustainable agriculture and ecological

lifestyles, organizers said Friday.

The 2015 Goesan International Organic Expo began in the mountainous town in

North Chungcheong Province, for a 24-day run under the theme "Organic Life,

Science Meets the Public."

The event is the first of its kind to gather together the world's top two

organic food bodies, the International Society of Organic Agriculture Research

(ISOFAR) and the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements.

In the export fairs scheduled on three different occasions, 264 firms from 26

countries and around 620 buyers will participate.

The organizing committee expects the expo to generate an economic ripple effect

worth more than 170 billion won (US$146 million).

The organizing committee aims to lure in 660,000 visitors, including 40,000

foreigners.

As part of the expo, a symposium on the challenges and future of the world's

organic industry will be held from Sept. 20 to 22.

In the event, presented by ISOFAR and the Chungbuk Organic Agriculture Research

Center, 29 experts from 18 countries will discuss topics on global food

production, ethical dilemmas in agriculture, the quality of food and health.
