＊260億ドルを運用するヘッジファンドのElliot（エリオット）が9日、以下の声明を発表した。

Elliotは引き続き、提案された買収案がサムスンC&T（Samsung C&T）の株主にとって公正ではなく、最高の利益にならず、違法であると考える。したがってElliotは9日、買収を阻止してサムスンC&Tの株主の利益を守るため、サムスンC&Tならびに同社取締役に対し買収の差し止めを求める法的手続きを始める措置を取った。（Docket # 2015KaHab80582）

Elliott Commences Legal Proceedings for an Injunction Against Samsung C&T and its Directors

Elliott, the hedge fund with US$26bn under management, today made the following

statement:

Elliott continues to believe that the proposed takeover is clearly neither fair

to nor in the best interests of Samsung C&T's shareholders, and that it is

unlawful. Elliott has therefore taken the step today of commencing legal

proceedings for an injunction against Samsung C&T and its directors in order to

seek to prevent the proposed takeover from going ahead and thereby protect the

interests of Samsung C&T's shareholders. (Docket # 2015KaHab80582)
