TCLチャイニーズ・シアターでヴィッキー・チャオとホアン・シャオミンが手形刻印

【深セン（中国）2015年6月5日PRN＝共同通信JBN】香港の映画監督ジョン・ウー（呉宇森）、香港のスーパースター、ジャッキー・チェン（成龍）、有名な中国本土の監督フォン・シャオガン（馮小剛）の後を継いで、2人の中国の映画スター、ヴィッキー・チャオ（趙薇）とホアン・シャオミン（黄暁明）、高名な中国系米国人監督ジャスティン・リン（林詣彬）がシアター開館88周年の日である2015年6月3日、ロサンゼルスにあるTCLチャイニーズ・シアターの前庭のセメントに手と足を押し付けた。この手形刻印に招かれることは、出身国・地域を問わず映画スターに授けられる最高級の名誉である。

劇場王シド・グローマンがシアターを建設した1927年から現在まで、マリリン・モンロー、シャーリー・テンプル、マイケル・ジャクソンら世界トップ級の映画スター238人が手形、足形を残している。チャオは初めてこの栄誉を受けるアジア女優、シャオミンは初の中国本土俳優で、88周年記念日の水曜日のイベントによって、この栄誉に輝いた中国人映画スターは3人から6人になった。これは、中国と米国の映画コミュニティー間の交流・協力増大を反映している。

中国と西側の要素のコンビネーションにしてハリウッド・ウォーク・オブ・フェームのランドマークであるチャイニーズ・シアターは、1943年から1945年までの3年連続でアカデミー賞授賞式の会場になった。シアターは2013年1月11日、世界の大手スマート製品メーカー兼インターネット・アプリサービス向けプロバイダーである中国のTCL Corporationと提携したことを発表した。同日付でシアターはその名をTCLチャイニーズ・シアターに変更した。この日はシアターにとって、85年の史上初の冠スポンサーシップ提携の日になった。この節目のイベントは、TCLに代表される大手中国ブランドと国際エンターテインメント部門の協力の新段階を反映しており、この中国企業の国際戦略に新たなレベルをもたらすものである。今日、進行している中国と西側の文化融合の目撃者を務めるTCLチャイニーズ・シアターは、世界各地から米国を訪れる観光客の見逃せない目的地になっている。

Chinese Actors Zhao Wei and Huang Xiaoming Honored at Handprint Ceremony at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood

Following in the footsteps of Hong Kong film director John Woo Yu-Sen, Hong

Kong superstar Jackie Chan and famed Mainland Chinese director Feng Xiaogang,

two Chinese movie stars, Zhao Wei and Huang Xiaoming, and well-known Chinese

American director Justin Lin sank their hands and feet into the cement in the

forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on June 3, 2015, the day

which marked the 88thanniversary of the opening of the theatre. Being invited

to perform this act is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed on a film

star, no matter what country or region he or she is from.

To date, 238 of the world's most acclaimed film stars, including Marilyn

Monroe, Shirley Temple and Michael Jackson, have left their handprints and

footprints there since 1927, when the theatre was founded by master showman Sid

Grauman. Zhao is the first Asian actress and Huang the first mainland Chinese

actor to be accorded the honor, with the event having taken place at the

anniversary ceremony this past Wednesday, bringing the total number of Chinese

film stars to have been so honored up to six from the previous three. This

reflects the increasing number of exchanges and collaborations between the

Chinese and American film communities.    

The Chinese Theatre, a combination of Chinese and Western elements and a

landmark along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, was the venue for the Academy Awards

ceremony for three years in a row, from 1943 to 1945.  On January 11th, 2013,

the theatre announced the entry into a partnership with China's TCL

Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of smart products and provider for

internet application services. On that date the theater officially changed its

name to the TCL Chinese Theatre. This marks the theatre's first title

sponsorship collaboration with an enterprise in its 85-year history. The

milestone event reflects a new stage of cooperation between leading Chinese

brands represented by TCL and the international entertainment sector and brings

the Chinese company's global strategy to a new level. Today, serving as a

witness to the ongoing fusion of Chinese and Western cultures, the TCL Chinese

Theatre has become a must-see destination for tourists from around the world

visiting the US.
