【ディーサイド（英ウェールズ）2015年5月14日PRN=共同通信JBN】規格・試験・認証サービスのグローバル・プロバイダーであるCSAグループは14日、Hazardous locations (Hazloc: 危険区域)で使用する機器の試験・認証を行う新しいラボラトリーを英ウェールズのフリントシャーにあるハワーデン・ビジネスパークに開設した。新しいラボラトリーは最新の機器と技術を活用しており、世界で最も包括的な国際基準コンプライアンスを試験する施設の1つである。

CSAグループのマガリ・デプラス最高執行責任者（COO）は「CSAグループは危険区域の試験・認証の世界リーダーであり、引き続き成長し続け、顧客のニーズに対応する新しいサービスと専門知識を提供する。われわれは昨年、欧州、北米、アジアの危険区域向けに新しいラボラトリーを開設済みで、石油・天然ガス産業に対する50年余りの基準開発経験を持っている」と語った。

新しいラボラトリーは2万7000平方フィートあり、これまでの施設の収容能力の5倍を上回る。同ラボは1階にトレーニング施設、地上階に最新ラボラトリーを提供する。ラボラトリーはコンプライアンス試験のニーズをサポートし、保護等級（IP）テスト、実世界条件をシミュレートするよう設計された温度上昇試験、爆発・耐炎テスト・セル、燃料ディスペンサー試験、特に火花のリスクを軽減するよう設計されたノンメタル・ラボを提供する。

CSA Group Opens New State-of-the-Art Hazardous Locations Laboratory at Prestigious Hawarden Business Park in Flintshire, United Kingdom

   CSA Group, a global provider of testing and certification services and

leading standards development organization, opened a new laboratory for testing

and certification of equipment used in hazardous locations.  The new laboratory

utilises the latest equipment and techniques and is one of the most

comprehensive international standards compliance testing facilities in the

world.

   "CSA Group is a world leader in hazardous locations testing and

certification and is continuing to grow and offer new services and expertise to

meet the needs of our clients," said Magali Depras, CSA Group Chief Operating

Officer. "In the past year we have opened new laboratories for hazardous

   The new laboratory is a 27,000 square feet and has over five times the

capacity of the previous facility. It offers training space on the first floor

with a state-of-the art laboratory on the ground floor. The laboratory supports

compliance testing needs and offers Ingress Protection (IP) tests, temperature

rise testing designed to simulate "real life" conditions, explosion and

flameproof test cells, fuel dispenser testing and a "non-metal lab"

specifically designed to reduce the risk of sparking.

(BREEAM) and a flexible laboratory area with electrical ducting allowing the
