タイ観光・スポーツ省が第１回グルメ・フェスティバル2015を開催

【バンコク（タイ）2015年1月23日インフォクエスト＝共同JBN】タイ観光・スポーツ省はタイ工業省国立食品研究所（National Food Institute）、タイ料理長協会との協賛で2015年1月23―25日、大型商業施設サイアム・パラゴンのパラゴン・ホールで、タイ初の世界的なフードイベント「第1回タイ・グルメ・フェスティバル2015」を開催する。世界中の料理長やミシュラン星付きシェフがタイの食材を使って料理を作る催し物で、タイの「料理の鉄人」（Iron Chef Thailand（TM））と有名ホテルの挑戦者シェフの一騎打ち、人気フードフェア、文化教養の旅と世界クラスの料理の味わいを組み合わせたグルメ旅行キャンペーンが繰り広げられる。

コップカーン・ワッタナワランクーン観光・スポーツ相は「ディスカバー・タイの年である2015年を祝うイベントの１つが、第1回タイ・グルメ・フェスティバル2015である。国内外の旅行者の琴線に触れてきたタイのユニークな食文化に光を当てるのが目的だ」と表明した。

観光・スポーツ省のスワット・シッティロー事務次官の説明によると、第1回タイ・グルメ・フェスティバル2015は今年のにぎやかなツーリズム・フード・イベントとして（１）タイ内外の旅行者へのタイ料理の紹介（２）タイ旅行のユニークさと奥深さの発見（３）タイの食文化の独自性の確立（４）ツーリズムと食のサービスを国際基準へ引き上げること―を目指すという。

観光・スポーツ省観光局のアンパル・ケソンスワン局長は、タイでは初めての大型フードイベントについて、世界中のミシュラン星付きシェフをタイに招き、一般の人や旅行者が味わえる「タイ料理とタイ米」を中心に、タイの食材を使って料理を作ってもらうと述べた。

タイ工業省国立食品研究所のペッチ・チンブット所長は「第1回タイ・グルメ・フェスティバル2015は、国立食品研究所がタイ内外のシェフや有名レストラン、ホテルにタイの食材を使ってもらい、タイ料理の独自性をキャンペーンする大型イベントだ。タイ料理のイメージを世界標準の品質と味わいまで引き上げ、タイの食材や製品、サービスの価値を高める興味深い紹介を展開するよい機会である」と語った。

Department of Tourism, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, in cooperation with

National Food Institute, Ministry of Industry and Thai Chef's Association, are

jointly organizing the first world-class food event in Thailand, "The 1st

Thailand Gourmet Festival 2015," on January 23-25, 2015 at Parc Paragon Hall,

Siam Paragon. The event showcases Master Chefs and Michelin-Star Chefs around

the world creating dishes with Thai ingredients; a stunning battle between Iron

Chef Thailand TM and a contender from a prominent hotel; a famous food fair as

well as a Gourmet Trips campaign, which is a cultural tourism combined with a

taste of world-class dishes.

Mrs. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Tourism and Sports Minister, expressed that "The

1st Thailand Gourmet Festival 2015" is one of events welcoming 2015, the year

of "Discover Thainess" in order to highlight Thailand's unique eating culture

that has touched both domestic and international tourists.

Mr. Suwat Sidthilaw, Permanent Secretary of Ministry Of Tourism and Sports

noted that "The 1st Thailand Gourmet Festival 2015" aims to be an exciting

tourism and food event of the year, aiming to introduce Thai food to Thai and

foreign tourists; to emphasize uniqueness and variety of Thailand's tourism

sector; to build Thai food culture's identity as well as to elevate tourism and

services in food business to match international standard.

Acting Sub. Lt. Anuparb Kesornsuwan, the Director General of the Department of

Tourism, said that this is the first mega food event in Thailand, inviting

Michelin Star Chefs from around the world to come to Thailand and create dishes

using Thai ingredients, with focus on "Thai food and Thai rice", for the public

and tourists to taste.

Petch Chinbutr, President of National Food Institute, Ministry of Industry,

reiterated that "The 1st Thailand Gourmet Festival 2015" is a major platform

that National Food Institute campaigns Thai food's identity by supporting Thai

and foreign chefs as well as renown restaurants and hotels to use Thai

ingredients. It is a good opportunity to build images for Thai food with up to

standard quality and taste as well as to develop intriguing presentation which

will add more value to Thai ingredients, products and services.
