Business of Design Week（BODW）は2002年以来、アジアにおけるデザイン、イノベーション、ブランドに関する主要な年次行事になっている。BODWはHong Kong Design Centre（香港デザインセンター、HKDC）が毎年違う国と提携して主催、最も優れたクリエーティブ・マインドを香港に招き、その革新的製品やサービスの背景になっているデザイン・ロジックについて議論している。BODWは今回初めて2004年の提携国、スウェーデンと再度チームを組んだ。常に革新的なこの国は、BODW提携10周年を記念してことし再招請され、デザイナーとイノベーターの偉業をさらに紹介する。

「Living Design」をテーマにするBODW 2014は15日、メディアホテル・パートナーの高級ホテルW Hong Kongで行われる記者会見を皮切りに、駐香港・マカオ特別行政区スウェーデン総領事のヨルゲン・ハルディン、香港特別行政区Create Hong Kong責任者のジェリー・リュー・ウィンルン、Hong Kong Design Centre会長ビクター・ロー各氏によって公式オープンする。

BODW 2014の講演者には以下のスウェーデン著名人が含まれている。ボルボ・中国のデザイン担当副社長ラース・フォーク氏。アブソルート・ウオツカのブランド戦略ディレクター、ペダー・クラーソン氏。ゲーム「キャンディークラッシュ」を制作したKingのゲームグル、トミー・パーム氏。これから発売されるロールプレイングゲーム「Tom Clancy’s Division」の制作会社Massive Entertainmentの最高経営責任者（CEO）デービッド・ポルフェルト氏。イケアのデザイン責任者マーカス・エングマン氏。H&Mのクリエーティブアドバイザー、マルガレータ・バンデン・ボッシュ氏と同社のファッション・Sutainability Communications責任者カタリーナ・ミルドビー氏。その他の海外講演者は、Banyan Trees Holdings創立者兼会長のホー・クオン・ピン氏、Nielsen Norman Groupの認知科学者でデザイン評論家のドン・ノーマン氏、建築家で坂茂建築設計創立者の坂茂氏らである。

BODWは、グローバルな関係構築とデザイン、ビジネス間の複雑な相互作用に焦点を置いてデザインの力を解き放つためのビジネスを奨励し、今年12月に13周年を迎える。

HKDC Unveils Global Speakers for Its Business of Design Week (BODW) 2014

Business of Design Week, has been Asia's leading annual event on design,

innovation and brands since 2002. Organised by Hong Kong Design Centre, BODW

partners with a different country every year to bring the brightest creative

minds to Hong Kong and discuss the design logic behind their innovative

partner country, Sweden which was the partner country back in 2004. This

Under the theme "Living Design" this year, BODW presents its kick-off press

and is officially commenced by the Guests of Honour Mr. Jorgen Halldin, Swedish

Consul-General in Hong Kong and Macao SAR, Mr. Jerry Liu Wing-Leung, Head of

Create Hong Kong of HKSAR government, and Mr. Victor Lo, Chairman of Hong Kong

Design Centre.

Prominent Swedish speakers this year include Lars Falk, Vice President of

Design for Volvo Cars, China, Peder Clason, Absolut Vodka's Director of Brand

Strategy, Tommy Palm, games guru of King, the company behind Candy Crush Saga,

David Polfeldt, Massive Entertainment's CEO, the company behind the upcoming
