【スケネクタディ（米ニューヨーク州）2014年9月2日PRN＝共同JBN】米SI Group, Inc.は2日、先に明らかにしたAlbemarle Corporation（アルベマール、NYSE:ALB）からの抗酸化物質、イブプロフェン、プロポフォール関連事業の買収を完了したと発表した。この買収によってSI Groupは、米サウスカロライナ州オレンジバーグと中国・金山に新しい生産設備を獲得し、世界で事業を広げる。

SI Groupのフランク・ボジック社長兼最高経営責任者（CEO）は「わが社の成長戦略はグローバルな課題の解決と関係する。今回の買収はわが社の中核アルキルフェノール事業と密接につながり、抗酸化物質と有効薬剤成分の市場での国際的なサプライネットワークと技術の向上に役立つ」と述べた。

今回の買収に含まれるのはAlbemarleのETHANOX（登録商標）、ETHAPHOS（商標）、ALBlend（登録商標）の抗酸化物質製品の専用技術と特許のほかに、米食品医薬品局（FDA）の規制下にあるイブプロフェン、プロポフォール事業、加えて上海と米ルイジアナ州バトンルージュにある応用・技術支援事業。

acquisition of the Antioxidants, Ibuprofen, Propofol, and related businesses of

Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB). Through this acquisition, the company

expands its global footprint with new manufacturing sites in Orangeburg, South

Carolina, United States and Jinshan, China.
