メキシコ最大の航空会社であるアエロメヒコ航空は8月11日、主にビジネス客の需要に応えるため、同社のメキシコシティ発ティファナ経由東京行便の経由地を変え、主要ハブ空港の１つであるモンテレイ国際空港Bターミナルから東京への運航を9月18日から開始すると発表した。

この新路線によって、旅行客はアグアスカリエンテス、チワワ、シウダーファレス、クリアカン、グアダラハラ、エルモシージョ、レオン、プエブラ、ケレタロ、サン・ルイス・ポトシの各都市から、このモンテレイ国際空港を利用して今までより便利で簡単に東京に行けるようになる。

アエロメヒコ航空は最近、同社の主要空港の1つであるモンテレイからのネットワークを強化し、同空港を19都市を結ぶ重要なハブとして位置づけていると発表した。メキシコシティから東京への新しい中継点となるモンテレイは、自動車産業など様々な産業に携わるメキシコ北部、中部の顧客の需要に応えることになる。

現在、東京路線には週4便が運航され、最新のボーイング787ドリームライナーが使用されている。9月18日以降の運航スケジュールは以下の通り。

Aeromexico Starts Operations from Monterrey to Tokyo, Japan

       -- Aeromexico maintains its offering of four weekly flights between

                              Mexico and Japan.

    Aeromexico, Mexico's biggest airline, announces that beginning in September

it will commence transcontinental operations to Tokyo, Japan from Terminal B at

Monterrey International Airport, considered one of its main centers of

operations, primarily to satisfy the demand of its business passengers.

    The new operations will allow travelers from cities such as Aguascalientes,

Chihuahua, Ciudad Juarez, Culiacan, Guadalajara, Hermosillo, Leon, Puebla,

Queretaro and San Luis Potosi, to travel to Tokyo more conveniently and simply,

thanks to the services provided by this air terminal.

    Recently, Aeromexico announced the importance of Monterrey as one of its

centers of operations from which it offers direct flights to 19 destinations.

The new stop on the flight from Mexico City to Japan will serve the needs of

clients from Northern and Central Mexico engaged in various industries such as

the auto industry.

    The flight will continue to operate four times a week on the world's most
