＊インドのリーダーシップ育成における慈善事業の努力を認定

1957年にインドで設立された専門経営者の上部団体、全インド経営管理協会（AIMA）は、2014年AIMA企業市民賞をHCLおよびシブ・ナダール財団の創設者兼会長のシブ・ナダール氏に授与した。比類ない慈善事業の努力を評価した。

シブ・ナダール氏は受賞にあたって「大きな名誉であり、認めてくれたAIMAに感謝したい。教育は開発の主要な決定要因であり、包括教育は社会の進歩と再生に向けて一歩進めるものである。シブ・ナダール財団は引き続き、あらゆる社会経済層からリーダーを生み出すことによって、インドの都市・農村格差を克服し、迅速な社会変化を推進する包括教育の力を利用する」と話した。

2014年AIMA賞の審査委員長でRP-Sanjiv Goenka Group会長のサンジブ・ゴエンカ氏は授賞式で「シブ・ナダール氏の受賞、制度構築と教育における真に模範的な業績にお祝いを申し上げたい。同氏のビジョンは人を鼓舞するもので、見習い称賛するに値する。同氏の指揮の下、HCLとシブ・ナダール財団は最高のビジネス慣行、包括的リーダーシップ開発の両面で高い基準を打ち立てた」と語った。

インドにおける現代コンピューター利用、テクノロジーの先見者とみなされているシブ・ナダール氏は1976年、インド独自のITガレージ新興企業のひとつとしてHCLを創設した。HCLはインドで現在、HCL Technologies、HCL Infosystems、HCL Healthcareの3社で構成され、年間収益は65億米ドルで、多国籍の専門家9万5000人以上がインド国内の約500カ所をはじめ31カ国で活動している。

シブ・ナダール氏は1994年、民間慈善団体のシブ・ナダール財団を設立した。社会変革と転換教育の大きな推進力として、財団はインドで総合大学、カレッジ、幼稚園から高校（K-12）に至る全教育分野の著名組織を立ち上げた。それにはインド最高ランクの工科大学SSN Institutions、多くの専門分野にわたり研究志向が強い大学Shiv Nadar University、地方の優秀な貧困児童に無料寮教育を通じてリーダーシップ開発の急進的実験を行っているVidya Gyanが含まれている。財団は2014年3月までに、監査済み財務諸表で294億6000万ルピーを投資、今後5年で300億ルピー支出するという2013年の約束を実行中である。

management in India set up in 1957, awarded the AIMA Corporate Citizen Award
