特別代表団には中国、日本、韓国、台湾、香港、ニュージーランド、オーストラリア各国の政府高官、企業、銀行の幹部が含まれていた。

この代表団は、320億オーストラリアドルにのぼるグレータースプリングフィールドのプロジェクトである長期マスタープランがどのようにG20の政策に貢献できるかを検討している。このプロジェクトは、相互に作用し合う保健、教育、ITの3本を柱にして、持続可能な経済成長と雇用増大の政策とともに進められている。

クイーンズランド州政府は7月、コミュニティーの保健サービスを変革するための技術と研究を駆使して、「Project of Regional Significance」として、総額25億オーストラリアドルのヘルス・ウェルネス地区を宣言した。

グレータースプリングフィールドはFIABC（International Real Estate Federation）の2010年度国際最優秀マスタープランコミュニティー賞を受けた。

    TWENTY-EIGHT international delegates inbound to this week's B20 Australia

Summit in Sydney have toured the Greater Springfield city building project 30

minutes west of the Queensland capital of Brisbane. The visit is ahead of the

B20 Australia Summit which begins tomorrow in Sydney.

    The special delegation included senior government, business and bank

leaders from China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, New Zealand and

Australia.

    The group are considering how Greater Springfield $32billion AUD project’s

unique long-term master-planning around interactive pillars of health,

education and I.T. together with policies for sustainable economic and jobs

growth, can contribute to G20 policy.

    The Business 20 (B20) leads engagement with G20 governments on behalf of

the international business community. In 2014, the B20 will focus on developing

a set of clear, actionable recommendations that drive global economic growth

and create jobs.

    The group experienced a special 'fusion' welcome-to-country performed by

young adults from the Aboriginal Performing Arts Centre.

    Greater Springfield is Australia's fastest emerging green-field new city,

which has been master planned around pillars of education, health and

information technology. Policies driven by private capital with government as

facilitators, linked to sustainable economic growth and employment has seen the

population steadily rise in line with employment opportunities. Major

corporations such as GE have chosen the city to host a state-of-the-art

Queensland campus headquarters.

    In July The Queensland Government declared the $2.5 billion (AUD) health

and wellness precinct a 'Project of Regional Significance', with technologies

and research destined to change the way community health services are delivered

    In 2010, Greater Springfield was declared FIABC World Best Master Planned

Development.
