【ダーラム（米ニューハンプシャー州）2014年7月1日PRN=共同JBN】業界標準の機内持ち込み手荷物安全システムで世界中の大手旅行かばん・ロックブランドに使用されているTravel Sentry（http://www.travelsentry.org/）は7月1日、イスラエル空港局（IAA、Israel Airports Authority）（http://www.iaa.gov.il/Rashat/en-US/Rashot）が預け入れ荷物用にTravel Sentry（登録商標）認定ロック（TSA Lock＝登録商標）を承認、認可したと発表した。今後、ベングリオン空港の保安当局者は、安全な輸送の確保のために預け入れ手荷物のチェックが必要な場合、TSA Lock（登録商標）認定ロックを使用している旅行客の手荷物のロックを解錠、および施錠することが可能になる。

ここ数カ月の間にTravel Sentryのシステムを導入したのはイスラエルが2番目。カナダ航空安全輸送局（CATSA）（http://www.catsa.gc.ca/）がそれより先の4月に導入している。Travel Sentryのジョエル・ブルメンソール社長は「IAAとの合意を発表できることはわれわれの誇りである。われわれのシステムがイスラエルとカナダで採用されたことで、Travel Sentryはシステムを普及、拡大し、米国や日本を超えて旅行客のセキュリティーを充実させる」と述べた。

IAAのスポークスマン、オファー・レフラー氏は「Travel Sentryとパートナー関係を結ぶことはわれわれの喜びであり、旅行客が手荷物検査と同時にバッグにロックをかけることができるようになった。安全確保のため、われわれはすべての旅行客に対してTSA Lock（登録商標）認定ロック（http://www.travelsentry.org/）を利用するよう呼び掛ける」と語った。

2003年以降、Travel Sentryは世界のロック・かばんメーカーで手荷物の安全性向上のための標準を確立、維持してきた。ロックには簡単にそれと分かる赤いダイヤモンドの目印がついていて、保安検査当局者がロックやバッグを壊さずに、検査に時間を取られず、旅行客の荷物を保護しながら解錠、施錠できる。現在、TSA（登録商標）認定ロックには多数のモデルやブランドがあり、数億単位の製品が世界約100カ国で使われている。

Travel Sentry Continues to Expand Globally Now Adopted in Israel for Checked Baggage Security

Travel Sentry [http://www.travelsentry.org/ ], the industry standard baggage

security system used by every major travel lock and luggage brand in the world,

today announced that the Israel Airports Authority (IAA)

[http://www.iaa.gov.il/Rashat/en-US/Rashot ] now recognizes and accepts Travel

Sentry(R) Approved locks (TSA Lock(R)) for checked baggage security. Security

officers at Ben Gurion Airport will now be able to open and relock passenger

luggage that uses Travel Sentry(R) Approved locks when a physical inspection is

required to clear checked baggage for safe transport.

Israel is the second country to adopt the Travel Sentry system in recent

months. The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority [CATSA]

[http://www.catsa.gc.ca/ ] adopted the system in April. "We are proud to

announce our agreement with IAA. With the adoption of our system in Israel, and

recently in Canada, Travel Sentry continues to expand the system to the benefit

of security and passengers beyond the USA and Japan," said Joel Blumenthal,
