サンパワー社、高効率ソーラーパネル494kWを富士古河E＆Cに供給

コストコジャパンとして初めてルーフトップ・ソーラーシステムを導入

太陽光技術およびエネルギー・サービスのリーディング・プロバイダーであるサンパワー社（ナスダック：SPWR）は本日、494kWの高効率E20/327ソーラーパネルを富士古河E＆C株式会社に供給したことを発表しました。富士古河E＆Cは、今回のプロジェクトにおいてEPC（設計・調達・建設）を担当して、すでにこのソーラーパネルを群馬県前橋市にあるコストコ前橋倉庫店に設置しており、来月からシステムの運用を開始する予定です。

サンパワー社の社長であるハワード・ウェンガーは、次のように述べています。「サンパワー社の高効率E20/327ソーラーパネルが、コストコの国内店舗初となるルーフトップ・ソーラーシステムに選定されたことをうれしく思います。日本のソーラー需要は拡大を続けており、サンパワー社にとって、アメリカに次ぐ2番目に大きな市場となっています。今後も、今回のような商用システム向けにサンパワー社のパネルを供給できるものと期待しています。」

サンパワー社は、高効率ソーラーパネルをアメリカのアリゾナ州、カリフォルニア州、ニュージャージー州にあるコストコにも導入しています。

サンパワー社の「E20/327ソーラーパネル」には、サンパワー社のMaxeon (R) バックコンタクト方式太陽電池が組み込まれています。この太陽電池は、銅の厚膜をベースとしており、温度変化に起因する亀裂、腐食、圧力に対して極めて高い耐久性を備えています。変換効率20.1％の「E20/327ソーラーパネル」は、同じ面積でより多くの電力を生み出し、少ないパネル数でシステム出力を最大化します。

サンパワー社の「E20/327ソーラーパネル」は、出力と製品の両方を対象とする、従来と比べて15年から20年も長い、25年間の複合保証の対象製品です。電力供給の低下率は業界で最も低く、25年の保証期間終了時に87％という比類のない出力レベルを実現します。

サンパワー社の太陽光発電関連製品は、日本国内では「Maxeon Solar（マキシオン・ソーラー）」というコーポレート・ブランドで提供されます。サンパワー社は、東京ビッグサイトで今週開催される「PV Expo 2014」において製品の展示を行う予定です（ブース番号：E46）。

SunPower Corporation Supplies Fuji Furukawa with 494 Kilowatts of its High Efficiency Solar Panels

    -- First Costco Store to Install a Rooftop Solar System in Japan

   SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ: SPWR), a leading solar technology and energy

services provider, today announced it has supplied 494 kilowatts of its high

efficiency E20/327 solar panels to Fuji Furukawa Engineering & Construction Co.

Ltd. (FFEC).  FFEC has installed the solar panels at the Costco store located

in Maebashi, Gunma, Japan, and the system is expected to commence operating

next month.  FFEC is acting as the engineering, procurement and construction

contractor for this project.

   "We are pleased that our high efficiency E20/327 solar panels were selected

by Costco for this rooftop installation, the first on a Costco store in Japan,

and that our customer, FFEC was chosen to install them on this facility," said

Howard Wenger, SunPower president, regions.  "We've seen demand for solar in

Japan continue to grow, and is now the second largest market for SunPower

Corporation after the United States.  We look forward to supplying our panels

for more commercial installations like this one."

U.S. Costco sites located in Arizona, California and New Jersey.

   Integrated into the E20/327 Solar Panels by SunPower Corporation are its

patented Maxeon(R) all-back contact solar cells.  These cells are built on a

solid copper foundation, making them extremely resistant to cracking, corrosion

and stresses from temperature variation.  With an average efficiency of 20.1

percent, the E20/327 panels deliver more power in the same amount of space and

maximize system output with fewer panels installed.

   E20/327 solar panels by SunPower Corporation are backed by the company's

straightforward 25-year combined product and power warranty, which is 15 to 20
