【ニューヨーク2014年2月26日PRN=共同JBN】451 Groupの独立部門であるUptime Instituteは26日、初の年次Brill Awards for Efficient ITの受賞者18社を発表した。

世界中の有力企業からの登録申請を評価した90人余りの業界プロフェッショナルによる審査の結果、これらプロジェクトは言葉の最も広い意味の資本展開、テクノロジー、デザイン、オペレーション、全体的管理の効率においてデータセンターおよびITオペレーションの効率を最もよく示した。Brill Awardsは、エンドユーザーにITサービスを提供する業界の持続性能力を向上する企業およびテクノロジーを表彰するプログラムである。

Brill Awardsのケビン・ヘスリン・プログラムディレクターは「Brill Awardsは19カ国から100を超える登録者を引きつけた。これらプロジェクトの最も優れたものを表彰することは、IT効率を高め続けるほかの企業にとってもインセンティブと模範になるだろう」と語った。

Brill AwardsはUptime Instituteの創設者である故ケニス・ブリル氏の遺言を継承して、IT効率向上のためのベストプラクティスと新しいアイデアを共有するという同氏のビジョンを奨励するものである。Brill Awardsは2008-2013年を通じてデータセンターの効率で成果を認めるUptime InstituteのプログラムだったGEIT Awardsに代わるものである。

Uptime InstituteはUptime Institute Symposium 2014でBrill Awards VIP晩さん会を開催する。この「Empowering the Data Center Professional」晩さん会（http://symposium.uptimeinstitute.com、米カリフォルニア州サンタクララで5月20-22日開催）は、討論会を開くとともに受賞プロジェクトについて話し合う。

18 Enterprises Receive Global Recognition for Data Center Design and Operations Efficiency

    Uptime Institute, an independent division of the 451 Group, today announced

18 winners in the first annual Brill Awards for Efficient IT.

    In the judgment of more than 90 industry professionals who evaluated

submissions from leading enterprises around the world, these projects best

exhibited efficiency in data center and IT operations in the broadest sense of

the word -- efficiency of capital deployment, technology, design, operations

and overall management. The Brill Awards program seeks to showcase companies

and technologies that improve the industry's ability to sustainably deliver IT

services to the end user.

    "The Brill Awards attracted over 100 entrants from 19 countries," said

Kevin Heslin, Brill Awards Program Director. "Honoring the best of these

projects will provide incentive and examples for other companies to continue

    The Brill Awards continue the legacy of Uptime Institute's founder, the

late Kenneth Brill, and promote his vision of sharing best practices and new

ideas to improve IT efficiency. The Brill Awards replace the GEIT Awards, an

Uptime Institute program that recognized accomplishment in data center

efficiency from 2008-2013.

    The Uptime Institute will host a Brill Awards VIP dinner at Uptime

Institute Symposium 2014: Empowering the Data Center Professional [
