Energy Globe World Awardがニカラグアに贈られる。マルタ・ベロニカ・ローシャ氏はオーストリア放送協会ザルツブルクのスタジオで行われた授賞式で、「ムチャス・グラシアス（大変ありがとう）」と喜びを込め、彼女のFUPROSOMUNIC団体に贈られた13キログラムのブロンズ像を受け取った。ザルツブルク州のウィッルフリード・ハスラウアー知事、ザルツブルク市のハインツ・シャッデン市長、ペテル・トゥルクソン・ローマカトリック教会枢機卿、Energy Globe創設者ウォルフガング・ノイマン氏が賞を贈った。オーストリアはまた「燃焼」部門の受賞者となった。ウォルフガング・ノイマン氏は「これらプロジェクトは環境問題を解決しうる世界を示す、強いシグナルである」と語った。

「大気」部門の勝者でもあるニカラグア・プロジェクトは、国際審査団の優勝者候補であった。同プロジェクトは社会的コミットメントと環境保護とを結びつける。Solar Project Foundation for Nicaraguan Woman（ニカラグア女性のための太陽光利用プロジェクト財団）の支持者たちは、料理、フルーツと野菜の乾燥用太陽光オーブンを組み立てた。総計700人の太陽光利用女性がほかの女性たちを教育して、展示会で知識を広め、健康障害と森林破壊を防ぎ、クリーンエネルギーを推奨し、働き場所や教育、幸せを生み出す。

オーストリア企業ecoduna Produktions AGは、独自の藻類栽培法で「燃焼」部門で受賞した。同社は太陽光発電機で藻を育て、そこから貴重な油とバイオの燃料を取り出した。この処理法は極めてエネルギー効率が良く、持続性がある。

米企業Ecovative Design LLCは「地球」部門で受賞した。キノコ類が極めてエネルギー効率のいい処理法によって、100%たい肥となるパッケージングに変わる。これらは食べることさえできて、耕作地で処分すれば植物の肥料として役立つ。

英国は「水」部門で受賞した。英国のデザイナーであるフランセスカ・マンシーニ氏は、

シャワーや水洗トイレットのシンクからの排水を直接利用できるようにする簡単な構造物を開発した結果、大量の水を節約することができる。

キプロスのNGAであるCans for Kidsは「青年」部門で受賞した。ボランタリーの若い人々がアルミ缶を収集して、つぶして、売却した。それで得た現金は小児科病院に寄付された。すでに26万ユーロが募金された。

授賞式はオーストリアのザルツブルク州政府、ザルツブルク市庁、オーストリア放送協会（ORF）ザルツブルク、連邦オーストリア商工会議所の共同で開催された。Energy Globe Awardは年間160以上の参加国から1000余りの応募がある世界最大の環境賞である。詳しい情報はhttp://www.energyglobe.infoを参照。プロジェクトは3月末からまた翌年の応募が始まる。

The Energy Globe World Award goes to Nicaragua! With a happy "Muchas Gracias"

Martha Veronica Rocha received the 13 kg bronze statue for her organization

FUPROSOMUNIC in the studio of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation Salzburg.

Salzburg Governor Wilfried Haslauer, Mayor Heinz Schaden, Cardinal of the Roman

Catholic Church Peter Turkson and Energy Globe Founder Wolfgang Neumann

presented the award. Austria also excelled as a category winner in "Fire."

Wolfgang Neumann: "These projects are a strong signal - they show the world

that our environmental problems can be solved".

The Nicaraguan project, also winner in category "Air", was the favorite for the

International Jury. It combines environmental protection with social

commitment. The protagonists of the Solar Project Foundation for Nicaraguan

Woman (FUPROSOMUNIC) build solar ovens for cooking and drying fruits and

vegetables and market the products. A total of 700 "Solar Women " train other

women , propagate their knowledge at trade shows, prevent health problems,

deforestation, promote clean energy and create jobs, education and prosperity.

The Austrian company ecoduna Produktions AG won in the "Fire" category with a

unique algae cultivation process. In photovoltaic reactors they grow algae,

from which valuable oils and bio fuels are obtained. The process is extremely

energy efficient and sustainable.

The U.S. company Ecovative Design LLC made it in category "Earth". In a highly

energy efficient process fungi produce 100 % compostable packaging, which are

even edible and - disposed of in the garden - serve as fertilizers for plants.

United Kingdom won the category "Water" prize: the British designer Francesca

Mancini developed a simple construction for households to directly use gray

water from showers and sinks for flushing toilets - so enormous amounts of

water can be saved.

The  Cyprus NGO "Cans for Kids" won the race in category "Youth". In voluntary

work young people collect aluminum cans, press and sell them. The proceeds are

donated to a children's hospital. 260,000 Euros have been already raised.

The ceremony was organized jointly with the Regional Government and the City of

Salzburg, The Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) Salzburg and the Federal

Austrian Chamber of Commerce. The Energy Globe Award is - with over 160

participating countries and more than 1000 submissions annually -the world's
