ブラウン氏は世界的なエレクトロニクス産業において経験豊かな重役の1人で、世界的な半導体関連知的財産サプライヤーの大手、ARM Holdings plcの共同創業者で元社長である。

ブラウン氏はレノボ、SMIC、Tesseraの各社でも非常勤取締役を務めている。英国公認エンジニアであり、ケンブリッジ大学の修士号（電子科学）を取得。The Royal Academy of

Engineering とThe Institute of Engineering and Technologyの両方の会員でもある。今年、ブラウン氏はエレクトロニクス産業への貢献を認められて大英勲章（MBE）を授与された。

フランシスCEOは「ブラウン氏は家電製品のライフスタイルにおける重要な時点でわれわれに加わってくれた。メーカーは新しい防水の課題に直面している。消費者の日常生活に電子機器がよりいっそう組み込まれていく、ということは、思いがけない状況で水をかぶる可能性が増していく、ということを意味するからだ」と述べた。

「その間、電子機器の小型化が進み、ハンダ付けに使われる金属に関する規制が強化される、ということは、防水機能を強化しなければ、電子機器がさび付きに弱くなる、ということを意味する。ブラウン氏はわれわれの技術市場のように素早く変化する市場での経験を積んでいる」

P2i は2004年に設立。以来、撥水（はっすい）・耐水ナノコーティング・テクノロジーで世界トップの座を維持している。同社は65件の特許ファミリーで受賞歴のあるテクノロジーと革新的なアプリケーションプロセスを保護している。

   P2i has appointed electronics industry leader Tudor Brown to its board as an

independent non-executive director with immediate effect.

   An experienced director in the global electronics industry, Brown is former

President and one of the founders of ARM Holdings plc - the world's leading

semiconductor intellectual property supplier.

    Brown holds non-executive directorships with Lenovo, SMIC and Tessera.   He

is a Chartered Engineer, holding an MA (Cantab) Degree in Electrical Sciences

from Cambridge University, and is a Fellow of both The Royal Academy of

Engineering and The Institute of Engineering and Technology. This year Brown

was awarded an MBE for services to the Electronics Industry.

electronic devices annually.

    "Tudor joins us at a critical point in the consumer electronics lifecycle,"

integration of devices into consumer's daily routine means they are

increasingly being exposed to accidental water hazards.

    "All-the-while, miniaturization of electronics and regulation over the

metals used in soldering, means that without protection, devices are even more

technology markets such as ours."
