マンダリン オーチャード シンガポールで毎年恒例の「スターズ オブ クリスマス」コミュニティ プロジェクト開始

2013年12月10 日シンガポール　/PRニュースワイヤ/--　毎年恒例のOUE（SGX-ST: "OUE"）とメリタス ホテルズ＆リゾーツによるコミュニティ プロジェクト、「スターズ オブ クリスマス」が今年も始まりました。このプロジェクトは子供支援団体のクラブ レインボー、チルドレンズ キャンサー ファウンデーション、VIVA ファウンデーションの協力によるもので、マンダリン オーチャード シンガポールにクリスマス スターが厳かに飾られています。

「スターズ オブ クリスマス」はハーレーダビッドソンシンガポール、ハーレー オーナーズ グループ シンガポール チャプター、クライスラー ジープ オートモーティブ シンガポールなどのパートナーによる惜しみないサポートで実現しました。

セレモニーはOUEの最高経営責任者（CEO）兼グループ常務取締役のThio Gim Hock氏とマンダリン オーチャード シンガポールのホテルマネージャーのDanny Wong氏のリードで行われました。

「スターズ オブ クリスマス」は生命を脅かす病に苦しむ子供達のためにクリスマスプレゼントを募ることを目的としています。プレゼントの受け取り主の名前、年齢、性別が書かれた星が、マンダリン オーチャード シンガポールのメイン ロビーのクリスマスツリーを美しく飾っています。ホテルの宿泊客、来館者や従業員はツリーから星を取り、対応するプレゼントを買い、ツリーの下に置くことでこのプログラムに参加します。

2013年12月17日、プレゼントの受け取り主は兄弟や両親、世話をする人とともに、OUE の会長Stephen Riady 氏の主催するクリスマス ランチョンに招待されます。子供達には午後のもてなしとともに、数々の賞を受賞したマンダリン オーチャード シンガポールのシェフたちによる、おいしいご馳走が振舞われます。そして催しの最後には、サンタクロースとその仲間たちがやってきてプレゼントを手渡し、楽しい雰囲気が盛り上がります。

「スターズ オブ クリスマス」は2013 年12月21日に行われる「トイ ラン」でクライマックスを迎えます。ハーレーダビッドソンのオートバイに乗ったサンタクロースたちとJeep(R)がマンダリン ギャラリーの正面 に並び、午前9時30分には寄せられたたくさんのプレゼントを配るのを手伝うため、多くの支援団体のもとへ向かい出発します。

今年の「スターズ オブ クリスマス」では、台風30号（Haiyan）の被害にあったフィリピンの子供達にもクリスマスの慈善の精神を届けます。壊滅的被害を受けた地域のたくさんの子供達に、多くの人がプレゼントを買ってクリスマスの励ましを届けられるように、クリスマスツリーにスターが追加されます。

Annual "Stars of Christmas" Community Project Commences at Mandarin Orchard Singapore

   "Stars of Christmas," an annual community project by OUE Limited (SGX-ST:

"OUE") and Meritus Hotels & Resorts, in collaboration with children's aid

societies, Club Rainbow, Children's Cancer Foundation, and the VIVA Foundation,

has commenced with the ceremonial hanging of Christmas stars at Mandarin

Orchard Singapore.

   "Stars of Christmas" is made possible with the generous support of partners

including Harley-Davidson of Singapore, Harley Owners Group Singapore Chapter,

and Chrysler Jeep Automotive of Singapore.

   Leading the ceremony was OUE Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing

Director, Mr Thio Gim Hock, and Mandarin Orchard Singapore Hotel Manager, Mr

Danny Wong.

   "Stars of Christmas" is aimed at soliciting Christmas presents for children

who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses. Stars bearing the name, age,

and gender of each beneficiary adorn the Christmas tree at the main lobby of

Mandarin Orchard Singapore. Hotel guests, visitors, and employees can then take

part by picking the stars and buying corresponding presents that are then

placed under the tree.

   On 17 December 2013, the beneficiaries along with their siblings, parents,

and caregivers, are guests of honour at a Christmas luncheon hosted by OUE

Executive Chairman, Dr Stephen Riady. The children will be treated to an

afternoon of entertainment and a scrumptious feast prepared by Mandarin Orchard

Singapore's award-winning chefs. The affair ends on a merry note with a visit

from Santa and his helpers who will be giving out presents.

   "Stars of Christmas" culminates in a "Toy Run" on 21 December 2013, during

which Jeep(R) and a fleet of Santas and Santarinas on Harley-Davidson bikes

will line the street frontage of Mandarin Gallery, flagging off at 9.30 in the

morning to help deliver hundreds of donated Christmas presents to the various

aid societies.

   This year, "Stars of Christmas" extends the spirit of the season to children

in the Philippines affected by Typhoon Haiyan. Additional stars will be hung

onto the Christmas tree, giving the public a chance to buy presents and spread

some Christmas cheer to hundreds of children in devastated communities.
