【マイアミ2013年11月28日PRN＝共同JBN】ジム・ロジャーズ（Jim Rogers）氏とビーランド・インタレスツ（Beeland Interests, Inc.）は28日、ロジャーズ国際商品指数（Rogers International Commodity Index(R), RICI(R)）を次のように変更すると発表した。

WTI（ウェスト・テキサス・インターミディエート）原油の指数構成比率を5.0％引き下げ16％とする。ブレント原油は1.0％引き下げ13％とする。天然ガス、金および銀は比率をいずれも2.0％引き上げそれぞれ5.0％、5.0％、4.0％にする。

これら今回の変更は、二段階に分けて実施する。2014年1月末の限月乗換え時に50%を変更し、2014年2月末の限月乗換え時に残りの50%を変更する。

RICIは、農産物、エネルギー、金属、鉱物など世界中の経済活動に広く利用されている国際取引商品群（バスケット）の値動きを表す指数である（採用されている先物商品は37種類）。RICIおよびその副指数は、世界各地で多くの投資銀行や投資家に利用されている。RICIは公表以来、251%以上の上昇を記録している（2013年10月末時点）。

コモディティ投資の提唱者である投資家ジム・ロジャーズ氏は、1997年から1998年にかけてRICIを発案し、現在はこの指数の所有企業であるビーランド・インタレスツの最高経営責任者（CEO）を務めている。ロジャーズが現在議長を務めているRICI委員会が、指数の構成品目と構成比率を決定する。ロジャーズ氏はこのほか、『冒険投資家ジム・ロジャーズ世界バイク紀行』（Investment Biker）、『冒険投資家ジム・ロジャーズ世界大発見』（Adventure Capitalist）、『大投資家ジム・ロジャーズが語る商品の時代』（Hot Commodities）、『ジム・ロジャーズ中国の時代』（A Bull In China）、『人生と投資で成功するために娘に贈る12の言葉』（A Gift to My Children）、『Street Smarts -Adventures on the Road and in the Markets』などの著書がある。

Rogers International Commodity Index (RICI(R)) Committee Adjusts Index Components

Jim Rogers and Beeland Interests, Inc. announced today the following

adjustments to the Rogers International Commodity Index(R) (RICI(R)).

WTI Crude will be reduced by 5.0% Index Weight to 16.0%.  Brent will be reduced

by 1.0% Index Weight to 13%.  Each of Natural Gas, Gold and Silver will be

increased by 2.0% Index Weight to 5.0%, 5.0% and 4.0% respectively.

Each of these changes will be implemented in two phases:  50% during the

January 2014 roll period, occurring at the end of January 2014, and the

remaining 50% during the February 2014 roll period, occurring at the end of

February 2014.

The RICI represents the value of a compendium (or "basket") of globally traded

commodities (37 commodity futures contracts) employed in the global economy,

ranging from agricultural and energy products to metals and minerals.  The RICI

and its various sub-indexes are used by many investment banks and investors

throughout the world.  As of the end of October 2013, the RICI had increased by

over 251% since inception.

Jim Rogers, an advocate of commodities-based investing, created the RICI in

1997 and 1998 and is the CEO of Beeland Interests, Inc., the owner of the

Index. The RICI Committee, currently chaired by Jim Rogers, determines the

Index components and weights.  Jim Rogers also is the author of Investment
