メキシコ最大の国際航空会社アエロメヒコは16日、東京で旅行代理店、企業、関係省庁関係及び報道関係者など100人以上のゲストにボーイング787－8ドリームライナーが日本路線に就航した事を発表した。これによってアエロメヒコは、業界で最新かつ十分な装備の旅客機を運航する世界最初の14社のひとつとなり、すべての乗客に同機の利便性を提供することになる。同機は、成田－メキシコシティ間のルートで週3便が運航される。運航予定は以下のようになる。

ボーイング787ドリームライナー機は、このタイプの航空機として技術的、構造的に進歩している。客室にはビジネスクラスに32席の180度広げられる「フルフラットベッド」が備わり、エコノミークラスにはスペースを拡張した211席の最新の座席が備わっている。さらに同機には、LED照明の付いた「SkyInteriors」インテリアが使用され、このタイプの旅客機として他航空機より広めの窓や、より地上に近い客室の与圧で疲労を軽減されるようになっている。

この新旅客機にはまた、パーソナル・エンターテインメント・システムとしてビジネスクラスで16インチパナソニック「Elite High Definition（高解像度）」スクリーン、エコノミークラスに「Eco Monitorタッチスクリーン」がそれぞれ装備されており、乗客はさまざまな映画、テレビ番組を楽しむことができるようになっている。同機ではまた、リアルタイムの飛行情報を提供する「MovingMaps」システム、最大1500曲のプレーリストが作成可能な「application Jukebox」、エンターテインメントシステムとしてiPod（アイポッド）と同期可能な「iConnect」、同乗している他の旅客とチャットが楽しめる「Seat Chat」システムなどが提供されている。

ドリームライナー旅客機には、炭素繊維構造のGE社製GEnx-1Bエンジンが装備されており、さらに運航・保守コストを最適化可能にする高効率システム・機械装置が装備されている。これら全てによって、二酸化炭素（CO2）排出量の低減を通じた大気汚染の大幅低減のための管理が可能となり、さらに離着陸時の騒音を減らすことから、環境的視点で大きな利点につながっている。

Aeromexico Introduces Its First Boeing 787 Dreamliner in Tokyo

    Aeromexico, Mexico's largest global airline, today introduced its first

Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in the city of Tokyo before an audience of more than

100 guests, including travel agencies and corporate representatives, as well as

distinguished public officials and the press. With this, Aeromexico takes its

place as first in Mexico, as well as one of the first 14 in the world to

operate the industry's most modern, well-equipped plane, bringing benefits to

all passengers. It will fly three weekly flights on the Tokyo - Mexico City -

Tokyo route, with the following schedule:

    The Boeing 787 Dreamliner features technological and structural advances

that are unique for its kind of aircraft. The cabin configuration has 32 seats

with "full flat bed" 180-degree inclination in First Class, and 211 latest

generation seats with more space in Economy Class. In addition, it has

"SkyInteriors," interior spaces equipped with LED lighting, as well as windows

that are considerably larger than those of other aircraft of its kind, and a

cabin pressurization that reduces flight fatigue.

    This new plane is also fitted out with personal entertainment systems with

16" Panasonic "Elite High Definition" screens in First Class, and "Eco Monitor

touchscreens" in Economy Class, through which passengers can enjoy a wide

variety of movies and TV series. It also has a "MovingMaps" system that offers

real time flight information, the application Jukebox which allows for

programming of playlists with up to 1,500 songs available on the system;

iConnect to synchronize iPods with the entertainment system, and the Seat Chat

system, which allows for communication with other passengers on the plane,

along with many other advances.

    Dreamliner aircraft are equipped with General Electric GEnx-1B engines with

a carbon fiber structure, in addition to high-efficiency systems and machinery

that makes it possible to optimize operating and maintenance costs. All of this

translates into major benefits in environmental terms, since this plane manages

to significantly reduce pollution through lower emissions of carbon dioxide

(CO2), in addition to cutting down the noise of takeoff and landing.
