【ソウル2013年8月30日PRN＝共同JBN】世界伝統医薬エキスポの組織委員会は、9月に韓国東南部で開幕する伝統医薬品見本市のオープニングプログラムの準備が整った、と発表した。

世界伝統医薬Fair & Festivalは9月6日から10月20日まで、ソウルから288キロ南の慶尚南道山清郡で開催される。

「伝統医薬品：未来のためのより大きな宝物」をテーマにした今回の見本市は朝鮮の伝統的医学百科全書である「東医宝鑑」の刊行400周年を記念して開催される。

一連のオープニングプログラムには、想像上の3本足のカラスが野生の朝鮮人参やその他の薬草の上を飛び回る伝説をイメージしたビデオクリップも含まれている。

プレ開幕式パフォーマンスでは演劇、オペラのほか、サンドアニメーションも公演される。サンドアニメ作家のパク・ジンア氏によって、病気の子供が伝統医薬品で回復する様子が表現される。

開会式では組織委のホン・ジョンピョ道知事が朝鮮半島の伝統医薬品のグローバル化を訴えることを計画している。

国連の教育文化機関が2013年を東医宝鑑の年と決めたほか、2009年7月にはユネスコが東医宝鑑を世界記録遺産に登録している。

Opening Events for Sancheong Traditional Medicine Fair Finalized

World Traditional Medicine Expo Organizing Committee announces an array of

opening programs for an exposition on traditional medicine to be held in

southeastern South Korea next month have been finalized.

The World Traditional Medicine Fair & Festival will be held in Sancheong county

in South Gyeongsang Province, 288 kilometers south of Seoul, from Sept. 6 to

Oct. 20.

Under the theme of "Traditional Medicine: Greater Treasure for the Future", the

fair will be held in a bid to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the

publication of "Donguibogam", Korea's traditional medical encyclopedia.

A variety of opening programs will be prepared, including video footage

displaying flying imaginary three-legged crows over wild ginseng, among other

things.

Pre-opening ceremony performances will include a play, an opera and sand

animation. Park Jin-ah, a sand animation writer, will show the process how a

sick child could be cured with traditional medicine.

At the opening ceremony, organizing committee chairman Hong Joon-pyo, also

governor of the province, plans to host a reading to promote the globalization

of Korea's traditional medicine.

A United Nations education and cultural body designated 2013 "Donguibogam

Year", and the book was recognized by UNESCO in July 2009 as an item of world

documentary heritage.
