【クアラルンプール（マレーシア）2013年8月22日PRN＝共同JBN】持続可能な設計・建築・構築環境を目指す世界的なイベントのEcobuild Southeast Asiaは、9月17－19日にマレーシアのクアラルンプールのプトラ世界貿易センターで大規模な会議とセミナーを開く計画を発表した。

このEcobuild Southeast Asia会議の中心は、ステファン・プーファリー氏とオリバルド・バロス氏の講演。プーファリー氏は国連環境計画「持続可能な建築物と気候変動イニシアチブ」（UNEP-SBCI）の諮問会議議長兼最高経営責任者（CEO）で、フランス政府のエネルギー政策諮問専門家会議（ENERGIES 2050）の創設者・名誉会長。バロス氏は英国建設財団（BRE）の国際問題部長。

プーファリー氏は9月17日（火曜日）に「低炭素エネルギーの将来」と題する講演で、再生可能エネルギー技術やエネルギー政策、エネルギー指標、市場展開、将来予測について語る。

同氏は講演を念頭に置いて「持続可能な都市と持続可能な建築物は、国家課題かつ国際課題として優先して取り組むべき眠れる巨人だ」と述べた。

同氏はさらに「建物や都市計画の寿命から見て、直ちにエネルギー効率や低炭素技術に取り組まなければ、今後数十年にわたって有害なエネルギーや炭素の被害が続き、結果として資源の利用に重大な影響が出る」と警告した。

バロス氏は9月17日にBREの建物環境性能評価システム（BREEAM）について、18日は建物とインフラの変革について、19日は構築環境の技術革新について、それぞれ説明する。

バロス氏は「経済成長と発展が世界平均を上回る見通しのこの地域には、持続可能性が不可欠だ。厳密な科学と検証に基づくBREの手法と基準は、この地域の政府や民間企業が最高度の持続可能性と効率を達成する上で十分に役立つ」と強調した。

Ecobuild Southeast Asiaは2013年9月17－19日にクアラルンプールのプトラ世界貿易センターで開かれる。

Ecobuild Southeast Asiaはマレーシア政府の建設産業開発局（CIDB）が後援し、3日間にわたり会議や議論を繰り広げる。取り上げる議題は、いずれも持続可能性の根幹にかかわるビルディング・インフォメーション・モデリング（BIM）、気候耐性を持つ低炭素インフラと建設、持続可能で統合的な輸送計画、持続可能性を都市計画に組み入れるメリットの理解と数値化などの問題だ。Atkins、Faithful & Gould、Carbon Trust、Fosters and Partners、RICS 、Building Construction Authorityの各専門家が、東南アジアのインフラや都市開発での持続可能性と耐性を推進するために、経験と技術を披露する。

Global Sustainability Leaders Debate Industry-Defining Issues at Ecobuild Southeast Asia

    - UNEP's Stephane Pouffary and BRE's Orivaldo Barros headline programme

                at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur, 17-19 September

    Ecobuild Southeast Asia, the leading Event for Sustainable Design,

Construction and The Built Environment, has announced a high-calibre conference

and seminar programme.

    Headlining the Eco-Build South-East Asia programme are Stephane Pouffary,

Advisory Board Chair & CEO, United Nations Environment Programme - Sustainable

Buildings and Climate (UNEP-SBCI), Founder and Honorary President of ENERGIES

2050 and Orivaldo Barros, Head of International Affairs, BRE.

    Stephane Pouffary will address renewable energy technologies, energy

policies, energy indicators and market deployment and forecast in his session

"Low Carbon Energy Future" on Tuesday 17 September.

    "Sustainable cities and sustainable buildings as sleeping giants need to be

put in the upfront of national and international agendas," Pouffary said when

previewing his session.

    "Due to the buildings and Cities arrangements lifespan, failure to act now

on energy efficiency and low carbon technologies will lock in detrimental

energy and carbon impacts for decades to come with significant consequences on

the use of resources."

    Orivaldo Barros, BRE will speak on BREEAM, Building and Infrastructure for

Change, and Innovation for the built environment on 17, 18 and 19 September

respectively.

    "Sustainability is critical for a region where economic growth and

development are expected to exceed the global average," Barros said. "Building

Research Establishment (BRE) tools and standards, based on robust science and

evidence, are well placed to help Governments and private sectors across the

region to achieve the highest level of sustainability and performance."

    Ecobuild Southeast Asia takes place on 17 - 19 September 2013 at Putra

World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur.
