2013年7月10日、ニューヨーク /PRNewswire/ -- 米国CD-adapco社（本社：米国ニューヨーク州メルビル、以下CD-adapco社）のエグゼクティブヴァイスプレシデント、Bill Clarkは、Red Cedar Technology Inc.社（本社：米国ミシガン州イーストランシング、以下Red Cedar社）の買収を本日発表しました。CD-adapco社はCFD・CAEシミュレーションソフトウェアの世界最大級の独立系プロバイダーです。また、Red Cedar社は複合領域最適化ソフトウェアHEEDS Multidisciplinary Designの開発元です。今回の買収により、STAR-CCM+、STAR-CD、Battery Design Studio (R)、SPEEDを含むCD-adapco社の先進的なCAEシミュレーションツール群にHEEDS(R) MDOが加わります。そして、このことによりエンジニアが工学的システムの全体を解析するシミュレーションツールを提供するというCD-adapco社の使命をより強固なものにします。

CD-adapco Acquires Red Cedar Technology Incorporated

CD-adapco's Executive Vice-President Bill Clark today announced the acquisition

of Red Cedar Technology Incorporated. CD-adapco is the largest privately held

CFD focused provider of Computer Aided Engineering software and services. Red

Cedar is the developer of the HEEDS Multidisciplinary Design Optimization

software. The acquisition will add HEEDS(R) MDO to CD-adapco's impressive suite

of Computer Aided Engineering simulation tools, that includes STAR-CCM+,

STAR-CD, Battery Design Studio and SPEED. The move further cements CD-adapco's

commitment to providing simulation tools that allow engineers to simulate

entire engineering systems.

Red Cedar Technology will continue to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of

CD-adapco, with Bob Ryan continuing as President, and with CD-adapco's

Executive VP Bill Clark assuming the role of CEO. Under CD-adapco's ownership,

Red Cedar will continue to develop HEEDS(R) as a general--purpose process

automation and design optimization tool that can be coupled with any CAD or CAE

software.
