【イエーテボリ（スウェーデン）、ニューオリンズ2013年6月4日PRN＝共同JBN】マイクロソフトは4日TechEd North America 2013で、Windows 8のアップデート版であるWindows 8.1ベータバージョンと組み合わせて、Fingerprint Cards（FPC）指紋タッチセンサーのデモンストレーションを行う。デモでは、FPCの指紋タッチ技術を使用して、いくつかの革新的なオンライン利用ケースを紹介する。

Windows 8.1の顧客は、安全で便利なユーザー認証のための指紋タッチを使って、マイクロソフトのアカウントにサインインし、オンライン支払をはじめとする取引が可能となる。FPCの指紋タッチセンサーをWindows 8のアップデート版と組み合わせることによって、われわれは「タッチ・アンド・ゴー」の安全なアカウント・アクセスを可能とする、大幅に向上した体験を提供することができる。

    Today at TechEd North America 2013 Microsoft demonstrates an FPC

fingerprint touch sensor in combination with a beta version of Windows 8.1, an

update to Windows 8. The demonstrations showcase a number of innovative online

use cases using FPC's fingerprint touch technology.

    Windows 8.1 customers will be able to sign on to their Microsoft account,

make online payments and other transactions using the fingerprint sensor for

secure and convenient user verification. By utilizing FPC's fingerprint touch

sensor in combination with this update to Windows 8, we are able to deliver a

greatly enhanced experience that provides "touch and go" secure account access.
