新た認証は、IT製品の持続認証に20年以上の経験を有する独立機関、TCO Development（http://tcodevelopment.com）が最近導入した。TCO認証スマートフォン（http://tcodevelopment.com/tco-certified/product-areas/smartphones）の基準はライフサイクルの展望から開発され、社会的責任のある生産行為の要件、健康や安全に有害な材料の削減を含んでいる。すべての基準順守は独立した公認の第三者機関によって検証される。
TCO Developmentのソレン・エンフォルム最高経営責任者（CEO）は「TCO認定スマートフォンの要件を満たすスマートフォンが市場に出回ることは喜ばしい」と語っている。

The new certification was recently launched by TCO Development

years experience of sustainability certifications for IT products. Criteria in
TCO Certified Smartphones

developed from a lifecycle perspective, including requirements for socially
