【ドバイ（アラブ首長国連邦）2013年4月9日PRN＝共同JBN】Future Pipe Industries Group（FPIG）はこのほど世界成長戦略遂行の一環として、ITT Exelis（NYSE: XLS）との間でITT Exelisの強化グラスファイバーパイプ事業部門であるSpecialty Plastics, Inc.（SPI）を完全買収する契約に署名した。

SPIの本社は米ルイジアナ州バトンルージュにあり、オフショアプラットフォームと船舶向けグラスファイバーパイプ、システムの大手供給企業である。今回の買収は、FPIGの複合パイプ事業にとって戦略的付加となり、重要な製品を既存の製品群に加えることになるため、海上油井基地と浮体式石油生産貯蔵積出設備（FPSO）市場におけるFPIGの能力を拡大することになる。

                 FPIG to acquire 100% of Specialty Plastics, Inc.

    Future Pipe Industries Group (FPIG), as part of the execution of its global

growth strategy, has signed an agreement with ITT Exelis (NYSE: XLS), to

acquire 100% of the fibreglass reinforced pipe business, Specialty Plastics,

Inc. (SPI)

    SPI, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA, is a leading supplier of

fibreglass pipes and systems for offshore platforms and marine vessels. The

takeover is a strategic addition to FPIG's composite pipe business and adds a

significant new offering to its already extensive product range extending

FPIG's global capabilities in the offshore rig and floating production and

storage of oil (FPSO) market.
