【テルアビブ（イスラエル）2013年4月4日PRN=共同JBN】大容量電力貯蔵ソリューションのデベロッパーであるイスラエルのEnStorage社（http://www.enstorageinc.com）は4日、これまで初となるハイドロゲンブロマイン（HBr）によるグリッド接続フロー電池を製造したと発表した。50KWのこの電池は、イスラエル南部にある同社試験場で接続され、最高100KWhの電力を供給した。

ブルーム博士は「われわれは電力貯蔵を容易かつ安価にすることで、エネルギーセクターが直面している大きな問題に対処することができる。EnStorageのバッテリーは、間欠性を除去することによって再生可能エネルギーを安定供給し、負荷平準化とピークシェービング（需要変動対策）要求に対するエネルギー利用率を調整し、給配電のアップグレードを延ばし、過度の負荷を直ちに救済し、グリッドの制約を即座に解決することができる。

EnStorageは最近この50KWユニットに成功した後、現在は150KW、6時間貯蔵可能な商用ユニットという次の段階の成果に向けて開発中である。

    Presents first ever grid connected HBr Flow Battery for use with Renewables

electricity storage solutions, has announced today that it has produced the

first ever grid connected Hydrogen-Bromine (HBr) flow battery. The 50 KW

battery was connected at the company's test site in southern Israel and

provides up to 100 KWh of energy.

    "This is a major milestone and a step forward towards larger capacity

    EnStorage Inc. grew out of a need to provide utilities and large-scale

power densities compared to other batteries, making it smaller and lower in
