Make Software Inc., which mainly plans, develops and sells photo stickers (known as "purikura" in Japan) and sticker-making photo booths, announced on June 26 that it has released "Town Maker," an easy-to-use Android app to simulate town building, in more than 10 countries including Japan, the U.S., France and Singapore. "Town Maker" is designed to the needs of many players for a simulation app to build a town according to the street landscape of whatever age they choose.

The town-building game starts in the primitive age. Players begin by cultivating land for planting and harvesting as well as building houses in the wilderness with nothing in sight, and move on to the next stages of civilization, from the ancient times and the Middle Ages to the modern and contemporary eras and then to the future.

As the players move up to a higher stage of civilization and start building more advanced buildings of the times, they can still build old-fashioned buildings easily if they wish, keeping their town dotted with buildings of various styles.

Players can also visit towns built by other higher-ranking players, taking a look at favorite and exotic towns along the way.

Players can feel free to enjoy the game which offers the basic play free of charge (they need to pay for acquisition of some items).

Players can enjoy the town-building game in whatever way they want, developing a town toward the future, filling a town with buildings of their favorite era or making a town with a mosaic of building styles from various eras.
